Oh No ! Where do we go ?

Brexit !

A word everybody is dreading now . Whether you are a leaver or remainer. We were told it was all going to be too easy. Will go like a clock work . But did it ? Yes it is a broken clock . Atleast the broken clock will show the correct time twice a day . But Brexit ?

Everyone is discussing the pro's and con's of the democracy. Which of the side you are in they are all quoting that what their side got is the right side of democracy . But is it ? the question is looming large in front of every ones eyes. The country is split in half . The government of the day is not speaking of any other pressing issue of the country but concentrating on Brexit. it is rather ironic to think that to solve the crisis in one political party the whole country has been pushed into a chaotic situation.

It is true that the Leave side of the argument won as a whole in the country. It is their democratic right to expect that what they voted for is carried out in full. But is it not fair for the government and the parliamentary representatives to question the effect of a drastic action. After all they were entrusted by the public to guide them in the correct path for the betterment of the country. A relationship that was built over forty years is coming to an end should it not be debated very deeply before plunging into the darkness.

It was a grave mistake of the Prime minster and the government to assume that a gravely affrecting issue like this could be solved by the government alone. They should have seen it in the context of the whole country and should have formed a select committee of different political parties representing in the parliament . A joint solution should have been formed which then would have had the majority required in house of commons for it to succeed.

I am also surprised by the labour party for a long period within that two years they have just put their party interest ahead and insisted calling for a general election . We are now at the last minute looking bemused at a NO DEAL situation. While the hard line Brexitiers love the outcome of a NO DEAL it is a worry for all the responsible politicians as at this junction UK is defining it's path for the foreseeable future.

It is not a matter of changing the prime minister or anyone claiming a victory for their stand it is our future generation's livelihood that we are playing with. Let us hope A firm statesmanship prevails rather than purly party political leadership let us see who are brave enough to cross their party lines to safeguard the future of their country. It is then who would get their name firmly written in the history book.
