Anchoring in the Self and Relinquishing Burdens

Anchoring in the Self and Relinquishing Burdens"

Our Duty is to Control the Self.

One of the biggest challenges we, as humans, face in daily life is trying to control the thoughts, actions, and feelings of those around us.

We want others to think, speak, and act in a certain way.

But when others behave contrary to our wishes, frustration, anger, and weariness overwhelm us.

Desires like 'Why are they like this?', 'They should listen to me,' or 'How wonderful it would be if they didn't feel this way!' unknowingly arise within us.

However, the aforementioned philosophy reminds us of a crucial truth.

"It is not our job to control how others think, act, or feel."

The moment this truth is anchored in our subconscious, our life miraculously becomes much easier.

This is because the effort to control another person's mind is a struggle that is never possible.

It is like trying to tie up sand with a rope.

Every human soul is unique.

It has the freedom to think, decide, and express its feelings.

When we interfere with that freedom, we suffer, and we put unnecessary pressure on others.

Understanding this truth, we must be ready for the great liberation of "letting go of everything that isn't ours to carry.

" The anger of others, their doubts, their expectations, their decisions these are not our burdens.

When we refuse to carry them, a huge weight is lifted from our shoulders.

This feeling of liberation is the first step towards peace in life.

When we refrain from trying to control others, the wasteful expenditure of our energy is avoided.

Where should we direct that saved energy?

That is the next vital command.

"Stay rooted in who you are."

The world around us may change like the wind.

But we must remain steady in the foundation of our Self, like a rock or a deep ocean.

'Staying rooted in who we are' means standing firm without compromise on our values, our integrity, and our principles.

Living rooted in the convictions we hold in the depths of our inner self, without being shaken by external distractions, is the basis of a peaceful life.

While being rooted in the Self, the next crucial action is to "act with integrity."

Integrity is not just the honesty we show to others; it is the honesty of being true to our own conscience.

It is living without contradiction between our thoughts and our actions.

While remaining rooted and acting with integrity, we must direct our full attention towards the goal of "staying devoted to our evolution.

" Taking a small step forward every day, expanding our knowledge, refining our skills, and improving our character we must fully dedicate ourselves to this continuous process of transformation.

Instead of letting our focus drift towards what others think of us or how they behaved, we must spend our energy solely on how far we have progressed on our own path.

This is the essence of the Buddha’s teaching: 'Control yourself, do not control the world.'

How do we integrate this profound philosophy into our daily lives?

If someone refuses to accept you during an argument, withdraw immediately. Changing their mind is not our job.

We stated our view, and that is sufficient. Save your energy.

Gently but firmly establish boundaries, saying, 'I will not do this, and you should not expect this from me.

' Make them understand that you refuse to carry their emotional baggage.

Upon waking up, plan only for: 'What should I do today to ensure I don't deviate from my integrity?' and 'In what area should I perform a little better today?' Focus on your growth points, not on the flaws of others.

When we abandon the greed of wanting to rule others' minds and the possessive attachment of wanting to correct them, and instead anchor ourselves in our Self, the peace we attain is priceless.

The moment we put down all the burdens we don't need to carry, we feel free and at peace.

When we stop sculpting others and start sculpting ourselves, our life becomes easy and meaningful.

This is the greatest art of living.

Affectionately,
Sakthi Sakthithasan

The Heart's Resonance

The Heart's Resonance

The Beginning of the Call Towards Life's True Path.

The Root of Suffering and the Resistance of the Inner Mind.

All human beings seek joy and peace in life.

However, all of us experience deep suffering at some point.

The beginning of this article reveals an important truth.

"So much suffering comes from the resistance toward a decision your heart knows is right for you."

Our heart, or inner mind, acts like a guide.

It knows what our true path is and what the right decision is for us.

Although this is clear to us, implementing it in practice is very difficult.

The reason for this is our fear and resistance.

For example, the inner mind might say you should leave a job and look for a new field.

But, fear arises with thoughts like, "The current income is enough for now," or "What if I fail if I make a change?"

This fear makes us resist the inner mind's decision.

When we resist what is truly right for us, the universe or life brings certain difficulties and obstacles into our path to make us look back.

These do not come to punish us.

Instead, they come to signal, "This is your divine path, come back."

When difficulties continue, we must realize that "we are making a mistake, and we are ignoring the inner mind's guidance."

This is the first step of experiential knowledge.

That is, the wisdom is to understand that all the difficult experiences that happen in life are not merely tests, but signals that are guiding us back to our correct path.

Therefore, whenever suffering comes, it is essential to ask ourselves, "Which decision of my inner mind am I resisting now?"

The Danger of Finding Comfort in Discomfort
Why Can't We Change?

Why is it that even after hearing the inner mind's call, we cannot make a change?

The reason for this is the false comfort offered by our 'fear'.

"Your fear might convince you that it's better to stay put than make a change."

Travelling on an unfamiliar, new path seems harder than the familiar, difficult path we are already used to.

This mindset pushes many people into the state of "finding comfort in their own discomfort."

This feeling is like being trapped inside a cage we ourselves built.

For example, staying in an unsatisfactory relationship, continuing a job without passion, or not changing unhealthy habits all of these indicate a state of stagnation.

Here, the thought, "It is difficult, but it's okay, we are used to it," becomes deeply rooted.

But life must constantly grow.

Just as stagnant water spoils, this state of stagnation harms our mind and body.

This is where the warning about health comes.

"Stagnation leads to dis-ease (mental stress/unease), which can eventually lead to disease."

Dis-ease is not merely a mental affliction. It is the result of a deep struggle that occurs when our soul and our heart are unable to walk the path they desire.

This inner struggle eventually affects the body's health.

Therefore, when we refuse to change, we lose not only our peace but also our health.

So, if you are not feeling comfortable where you are, but are pacifying your mind with 'well, this is enough,' realize that you are in a state of stagnation.

The cost of stagnation is higher than you think.

Your heart will not mislead you.

Releasing the grip of fear and submitting to the truth of the inner mind is the first step toward change.

Finally, this journey ends with a hopeful invitation.

"Your heart will never guide you astray.

There's a reason things are difficult."

Life is a continuous practice for us to elevate ourselves.

Every difficulty you face is not a punishment; it is an opportunity for your growth.

"Life is inviting you to step up, make a change, and move forward."

This is the peak of experiential knowledge.

After bravely making a change, what you gain is not a temporary success.

Instead, you gain some imperishable knowledge that will guide your life.

The experience teaches you the deep confidence that the decision you took, bound by your heart's voice no matter how scary will be the right one for you.

You feel a sense of liberation and gain new strength, even if you fail after making the change, compared to the days you lived with fear.

The wisdom dawns that difficulties come to shape you according to the contribution you must make in life.

This is the true meaning of 'returning to the divine path.'

After attaining this knowledge, it is difficult for you to return to a state of stagnation.

Because your experience has taught you that stagnation is the real failure, and moving toward change is the nature of life.
Life is only once.

Do not live it with fear or stagnation.

Trust the truth your heart tells you.

That is the right path for you.

You might be in a difficult situation now, but that is your call.

"Trust this. Trust life. Trust your heart and make the change."

Every step you take towards change with courage, listening to the inner mind's voice, will make your life meaningful and filled with experiential knowledge.
Start acting!

Yours sincerely,
Shakti Sakthidasan

Reflections ..... Reflections ..... Reflections

With the reflections of a few sweet moments, we possess the power to carry the remaining moments of life forward.

In those few moments, it is not the people we love with our eyes, but the few we love with our hearts whose affection gives us the supreme strength to move through the rest of life.

That is why, perhaps, those who live not with the ones they desire, but with the ones they receive and learn to desire that life, live more peacefully.

In the course of living, many people pass through our lives.

The experiences they leave us with are sometimes sorrowful, sometimes joyful.
But all of them are priceless.

Never forget that life is in our hands.

Instead of lying idle, trapped like a prisoner in a spider’s web, rise and walk with the goal of touching the Himalayas.

When the longing arises to seek a life free of desires, a life free of suffering will knock at the door.

Those who mistake our silence for ignorance, and our patience-filled love for weakness, are the ones we often find around us.

But because of that, we must never try to change ourselves.

Just as we go to sleep trusting that dawn will come, so too must we take the next step trusting that success will come.

Life’s Strange Games

The peculiar games of life are astonishing.

Yet many are not in a state to enjoy them.

Because the impacts of these games bring pain into their lives.

The pain torments them, but the wonder of its mystery does not become a feast.

With what we possess, we can buy anything.

But even if we acquire all the wealth in the world, the mindset of contentment  the feeling that we have enough  cannot be bought at any price.

The poet Vaali beautifully captured this truth in his song “In the shop spread by God, no one is prepared to pay with their heart to buy love.”

There is no human who has never made mistakes.
.
And those who keep on erroring are not truly human either.

The one who unknowingly makes a mistake, and then corrects it upon realizing, is the true good human.

But those who refuse to change their view of someone even after that person has corrected themselves  they are the ones without humanity.

Peace within, clarity in mind with these companions, if one learns the subtle art of living with virtue, that alone is enough.

Whatever religion we belong to, whichever God we worship, one truth remains: the foundation of devotion is a life of discipline.

These words are but droplets that splash out from the deep reflections we undertake in pursuit of that subtle truth.

Life is woven of joy, sorrow, pain, and trials.

We all begin our lives with the desire to achieve something.

As time passes, the boundaries of achievement change according to each person’s circumstances.

When we live within the protective circle of mother and father, the world before us looks one way.

But when we ourselves become mother and father, the world changes.

Often we hear people say, “What does he lack? He has every comfort in life.”

But we fail to realize that even within such comfort, there may be hidden pain in his heart.

Instead of grieving over what we do not have, cherishing what we do have brings peace of mind.

We must set goals, but never let them grow so large that they blind our eyes.

Think a thousand times; decide once.

Before truth even begins its journey, falsehood will have already circled half the world.

Do not forget this.

Truth walks alone; falsehood always needs companions.

Let living and letting live be our philosophy of life.

Hard work, a just mind, peaceful thought, beauty without noise, success with humility  if my beloved younger generation embraces these, there is no doubt they will rise unmatched in this world.

Life is a painting.

Each day is a color.

Some colors may appear dark, but without them the painting cannot be complete.

Likewise, without sorrows and trials, life cannot be whole.

The true wealth of man is his peace of mind.

The pleasures gained by material things are temporary.

But peace of mind is permanent.

The way to attain it is through love, patience, forgiveness, and faith.

Until the end of our lives, it is our thoughts that guide us.
Good thoughts lift us up; evil thoughts drag us down.

Therefore, keep your thoughts pure.
That is the true success of life.

I believe you can do it.

Speaking my mind ........

a spiritual retreat there were many disciples.

Everyone was eagerly learning everything, but one disciple alone was troubled.

The sage called him and asked:
"Master! Everyone mocks and ridicules me… I cannot bear it. Anger rises within me. I do not know what to do!" he said.

The Guru replied: "Climb onto the wall of this well and walk around it ten times!"

Though he did not understand why the Guru said so, the disciple obeyed.

Carefully, with full attention, he climbed onto the wall of the well and circled it ten times.

The Guru asked: "While you were walking on the wall, many mocked you, did you hear them?"

"No, Master! I was focused only on not falling into the well. I did not hear anyone’s words," said the disciple.

The Guru said: "When we are deeply and sincerely engaged in a task, the words of others do not reach us. Do you understand?"

The disciple understood everything!

"One who worries about what this person says, or that person says, cannot achieve anything great," said Swami Vivekananda.

We live in this world only once.

What matters is not how many we hurt, but how many wounds we did not cause.

Life is always teaching us.

When we sigh with relief after solving one problem, another comes knocking at the door.

When we finish reading one page of a textbook, the next page opens.

Everything that happens to us is a lesson about life itself.

At the age of 69, I am still a student of life.

Teachers come in many forms from children of five to elders of a hundred.

Thoughts come and go in thousands.

The consequences of our actions depend on which thoughts we choose to follow.

We must cultivate the maturity to reject the harmful and embrace the good.

Through meditation, this journey becomes easier.

Yet only as I step into the twilight of life do I truly grasp its meaning.

From experience I say: Time is golden do not waste it, make it victorious.

"The tongue has no nerves, so it can speak without limits," said the great poet Kannadasan.

If someone’s words guide you towards progress, give them your attention.

Otherwise, stay true to your conscience, ignore what does not matter, and live with love.

Victory will be yours.

Knowledge is not only in books; it hides in experiences, failures, and efforts.

Love is not only in words; it shines in actions, patience, and forgiveness.

Success is not only in medals; it dwells in peace of mind, social welfare, and helping others.
M
Life is a painting.
Each day is a color.
Even the darker shades are needed—for without them, the painting is incomplete.

Therefore,
Live with honesty, share with love, and move forward with peace of mind.

You can do it.

With love,

In a fast-paced world the vanishing humanity.

In a fast-paced world the vanishing humanity.

Today’s world is filled with urgency and competition.

Technological growth, social media, and finance-driven lifestyles push people to chase skill, speed, and achievement.

In this race, human emotions, pain, and personal struggles are often ignored.

A person’s stress is dismissed as “weakness.”

Family burdens are labeled as “incompetence.”

Physical or mental health challenges are mocked with “derisive attitudes.”

In this humanity-forgetting race, the thought “Never mock a pain you haven’t lived” becomes both a warning and a call.

We must begin to respect the parts of life we do not yet understand.

Compassion goes  into action keeping gentleness as Strength

Compassion is not merely a soft feeling.
It is a power that acts.

Listening to someone with empathy is the first step in truly “seeing” them.

Choosing to understand rather than judge deepens relationships.

Pausing to reflect instead of laughing at others’ struggles lays the foundation for social well-being.

How does this work in today’s world?

When a teacher approaches a struggling student with kindness, the student transforms.

When a patient’s family is treated with compassion in a hospital, their hope is sustained.

When a company leader cares gently for employees’ mental health, productivity grows.
This is compassion and costs nothing..

But forgetting it comes at a heavy price: loneliness, stress, and broken relationships.

“Let our words be gentle, let our thoughts be kind” is not just advice; it is a way of life.

It applies everywhere: technology, education, medicine, media, and family.

On social media, before criticizing, we must ask: “What might this person be going through?”

With children, instead of asking “Why is this wrong?”, we should ask “How can we understand this?”

In workplaces, instead of focusing only on “employee performance,” we must also consider “their circumstances.”

When this ethic is practiced:
Relationships deepen
Loneliness decreases
Social harmony grows

“Do not rush to judge what you do not understand” is the first step toward building a world filled with humanity.

In today’s world, humanity, compassion, and gentleness shine again as guiding lights.

This is a call to create a new ethic of living.

Life may run fast, but humanity must remain gentle.

A Journey Without Anxiety .

 A Journey Without Anxiety  .

How This Philosophy Connects With Our Life

We all desire something in life.

Some seek wealth, some seek fame, and some seek peace.

To achieve these desires, we keep running.

Work, effort, planning, competition… but in that endless race, there is a weariness.

The mind is filled with anxiety, the body with fatigue, and life with emptiness.

Rumi says exactly this: “What you seek is also seeking you.

Do not chase after it. Sit patiently in your place. It will come searching for you.”

At first, these words may sound like the dreamy speech of a poet.

But if we reflect a little, we realize how deeply true they are in our everyday life.

When we wake up in the morning, what is the first thought?

“What must I do today?” Work, family, children, debts, expectations… all of these push us to run.

We run to create the life we desire.

But in that race, what we lose is peace, health, relationships, and laughter.

The Call of Patience

The line “When I sit patiently in my place…” is a profound call.

It is not laziness.

It is a psychological calm.

It is the moment when we trust ourselves. The moment when we ask: “I think I know what I want, but what is life truly calling me towards?”

Patience is not inactivity.

It is an inner activity.

It is the act of understanding ourselves, nurturing ourselves, and keeping ourselves at peace.

And in that peace lies the true beauty of life.

“What I desire also desires me” this may sound like a mystical line.

But it is a deep truth.

What we truly desire is not money, not fame it is a state of life.

A freedom. A sense of wholeness.

When we genuinely long for that state, it begins to attract us.

We do not need to chase after it.

We need to live it.

How This Philosophy blends Into Daily Life

When we anxiously search for jobs, we often fall into traps.

But when we trust ourselves and grow our skills, the right job finds us.

Trying to force someone to stay with us only creates anxiety.

But when we live in a way that naturally attracts genuine love, relationships blossom on their own.

Forcing the body with exercise is one way.

But when we patiently nurture peace of mind, healthy food habits, and proper sleep, health itself comes seeking us.

Rumi’s words are not just poetry.

They are a guide to living.

To create the life we desire, we do not need to run endlessly.

If we live calmly, patiently, and truthfully, that life will come searching for us.

This is a great secret. But to realize it, we must cultivate the peace of mind that allows us to grasp it.

The Universe's Silent Lesson: Flowers and Rain - A Perspective on Life

The Universe's Silent Lesson: Flowers and Rain - A Perspective on Life

The quote, "I asked the universe for flowers and it gave me rain. When you understand this, everything starts to make sense," .

Beautifully expresses the deep philosophy of life and the complex relationship between human expectations and the realities that unfold.

Flowers represent the immediate, visually appealing results we desire and long to see.

In contrast, rain signifies the essential process often challenging, sometimes uncomfortable, and yielding no instant gratification that is necessary for the flowers to bloom.

This simple sentence holds the profound truth that the Universe knows what we truly need better than what we merely wish for.

The core idea revolves around 'giving what is needed, not what is asked.'

As humans, we usually desire only the temporary, visible, and quick successes (flowers).

However, the Universe provides us with the foundation (rain) that is essential for permanent growth and a healthy future (for many flowers to bloom).

A seed doesn't immediately see the beauty of the flower; it requires soil, water, and patience.

The rainy season might be perceived by some as an obstacle to travel, cold, or dark skies.

Similarly, the 'rain' the Universe provides may represent the challenges, failures, delays, or difficult experiences we face in life.

It is these experiences that impart strength, knowledge, and resolve, allowing us to root deeply enough to support the 'flowers' we desire.

Just as flowers cannot come without rain, true success is not possible without challenges.

The clarity of understanding in the line, "When you understand this, everything starts to make sense," indicates a transformation of perspective.

When we understand the deeper purpose of what was given, instead of feeling disappointed that what we asked for was not delivered, our previous frustrations dissipate, and we realize that every aspect of life has a reason.

This philosophy is deeply intertwined with the daily life of every average person.

The significance of this connection is profound.

In Career and Education
A student might immediately expect good grades, or an employee might expect an immediate promotion which for argument teptesent flowers.

The Meaning of Rain (A Comparison): What the Universe provides is a challenging curriculum, failed attempts (multiple times), or extra experience gained when a promotion is delayed (rain).

These difficult "rain" experiences refine the individual's ability, equipping them with the qualifications to sustain the success and position they achieve in the future over the long term.

Sometimes, a missed job opportunity might be the "rain" the Universe provided to prepare us for an even better opportunity.

In Relationships and Personal Growth
Flowers means what we expect from each other is easy, unconditional love and pleasant relationships that bring immediate satisfaction.

The Universe providing disagreements, differences in opinion, sacrifices, and compromises in relationships is like the rain when expecting flowers.

This "rain" causes the roots of the relationship to grow deeper, making it stronger.

In personal growth, the 'rain' the Universe offers comprises unwanted changes, solitude, or losses.

These moments help us to self-reflect, mature emotionally, and discover who we truly are.

In Financial and Economic Hardships
Flowers means stable income, savings, material comforts.

Rain in this Context: Unexpected expenses, financial crises, loss in investment.
These financial 'challenges' (rain) train us to manage finances more cautiously, understand the difference between necessities and luxuries, and gain the mental resilience to endure difficult times.

In essence, the rain is meant to prepare us to receive the flowers as a reward.

This can even be called the Language of the Universe's Love.

"I asked the universe for flowers and it gave me rain."

This line can be understood as the undeniable language of the Universe's love and trust.

We rejoice when we get what we desire, but we truly grow when we get what we need.

In the average human life, this 'rain' might be a duty we resent, a responsibility we find boring, or a struggle we try to avoid.

However, when we perceive these challenges not merely as obstacles but as blessings that bring out our inherent strength, our life attains a new dimension.

This agricultural philosophy is the foundation of human existence.

The flowers that bloom after the rain will be more vibrant and resilient.

Therefore, instead of opposing the 'rainy seasons' of our lives, we must wait for the beauty and strength they will offer, utilize the rain we have received, and allow ourselves to root and grow.

Only then can we reap rewards far better than the flowers we asked for.

Sakthi Shakthithasan

Every Encounter is a Key .

Every Encounter is a Key .

The Impact of Spiritual Vision in Life’s Pathways

The world we live in is a vast stage.

On this stage, every encounter, every conversation, and even every separation becomes a kind of lesson.

The idea that “nothing is a coincidence” helps us understand the deeper structure of life.

It is not only a spiritual perspective.

It is also a guiding light in our daily living, in family relationships, in the workplace, and in friendships.

People as Mirrors, Medicine, and Messengers

When we meet someone, we cannot immediately know why they have come into our lives.

Some make us see ourselves

Our flaws, our desires, our fears. They are mirrors.

Some bring comfort, healing, and transformation.

They are medicine.

Some carry a message  though the meaning of that message, that lesson, may only become clear much later. They are messengers.

Time A Spiritual Order Beyond the Mind’s Understanding

Whom we meet, and when we meet them, is never random.

A job loss, a breakup, a new friend, the birth of a child each of these triggers a kind of transformation.

At the very moment we think our growth is complete, life places a new key in our hands.

That key opens a new door, revealing a hidden dimension of ourselves waiting to be reborn.

Application of this Idea in Everyday Life

Parenting:
For a parent, every question a child asks, every mistake they make, is a lesson.

Instead of asking “Why did this happen?”, asking “What is this trying to teach?” leads to growth.

Workplace:
A colleague’s harsh criticism, a failed project these push us beyond our limits.

Patience, skill, and confidence hidden within us begin to emerge.

Friendships and Relationships:
Some come into our lives only to leave.

Some come to change us. Some come to help us understand ourselves.

Each person is a kind of key.

Awareness is the essence of spiritual consciousness

Life is a school.

Lessons are not only in books.

They are found in encounters, conversations, mistakes, and successes.

Instead of asking “Who came into my life?”, asking “What change did they bring?” helps us grow spiritually.

Every encounter in life is a key.

It opens us, transforms us, and helps us be reborn.

When we recognize and apply this truth in our daily lives, life itself becomes a joyful journey.

Nothing is random every moment is carefully arranged to shape us into who we truly are.

The Weight of Water Within

The Weight of Water Within — A Philosophical Reflection on Life’s Changes

A ship sinks not because of the water around it,  but because of the water that enters it.

Even when surrounded entirely by water,
a ship floats unless that water gets inside.

This metaphor invites us to view life’s changes through a philosophical lens.

"Ships don’t sink because of the water around them; they sink because of the water that gets in.”

These words express profound psychological and philosophical truths through a simple image.

Human life, too, can be seen as a ship.

The changes, challenges, and complications that arise around us  these are the “surrounding waters.”

But only when they enter us and become burdens within, do we begin to sink emotionally.

Life Is a Journey of Change

Change is the essence of nature.

Climate, technology, relationships, health, employment all are subject to change.

We cannot control these changes.

But our mindset in facing them determines the course of our life.

When a ship sails the sea, waves may strike it.

Yet unless those waves breach the hull, the ship continues its journey.

Likewise, life’s challenges may strike us.
But if we can keep them outside  without letting them enter our inner world we remain emotionally steady.

The human mind is a delicate terrain.

Thoughts, emotions, and experiences that enter it can either elevate or diminish us.

Protecting the boundaries of the mind means preventing harmful influences from entering.

For example, criticism, social pressure, and expectations can affect us deeply.

But psychological practices such as meditation, self-awareness, and philosophical reflection help us keep these influences external and maintain inner balance.

Psychological Practices for Facing Change are important.

Daily meditation, breath control, and self-awareness preserve mental peace.

Life is a stream of events. Each event should be seen as a lesson.

Understanding friends, family, and community support reduce emotional burden.

Reading, art, music, and spiritual journeys strengthen the mind’s boundaries.

The Design of the Ship reptesentThe structure of the self.

A ship is built to withstand water pressure.

Similarly, our inner self must be structured to handle life’s pressures.

This structure is shaped by our habits, values, and beliefs.

What we believe, what we honor, what we follow these form a psychological armor that protects us from emotional weight.

Transforming the Burden the art of inner engineering.

Burden does not always arise from external circumstances.

It forms when those circumstances enter us.

But the art of transforming burden  turning it into a lesson, an opportunity, a reflection is what elevates us emotionally.

This is the true philosophy of life:

Let the “surrounding water” not frighten us.

Let the “entering water” not destabilize us.

The ability to transform every incoming thought and emotion into insight
is what frees us from inner weight.

This metaphor resonates across many dimensions of life.

Mental peace, psychological protection, and philosophical clarity these ensure that the “water within” does not sink us, but lifts us.

When facing life’s changes, remembering this image helps us stay steady.

The Art of Living Joyfully Amidst Hardship

The Art of Living Joyfully Amidst Hardship

The art of living joyfully amidst hardship is like lifting a cloth that has fallen on thorns.without letting it tear.

Life is a continuous flow.

It is filled with challenges we cannot control, unexpected turns, and circumstances that confuse the mind.

The thought, “I will be happy once everything gets better,” is an illusion.

Because the “perfect” moment who knows when it will arrive?

For some, it may never come.

For others, even if it does, it may last only a fleeting instant.

Humans constantly seek happiness in the future.

But the future is merely an imagination.

What we truly have is this present moment.

To feel joy even amidst pain, confusion, and incompleteness in this very moment that is the true art of living.

This is not just philosophy; it is a practice.

A mindset. A choice.

Happiness is not a destination. It is a way of being. A habit.

A psychological state.

We cannot attain it “without problems.”

But we can learn to live with it “alongside problems.”

It is essential to cultivate the ability to understand the subtle call of time.

Each time we say “later,” time quietly takes a small piece away from us.

That “later” may never arrive.

The beauty of life lies in its impermanence, in the profound vitality hidden within it all of which exists only in the “now.”

We must learn to be happy now.

To do so, we must pay attention to every moment around us.

The song of a bird, the laughter of a child, the call of an old friend, the reading of a book these are all gateways to joy.

But to truly feel them, our inner state matters most.

Philosophy always teaches us to live in the “now.”

Buddha, Krishna, Ramana, Jesus all emphasized the greatness of living in the present.

The “now” is a spiritual doorway.

When we enter it, even our struggles become lessons.

Happiness ceases to be a goal it becomes a journey.

Before time runs out, we must have truly lived.

We must have truly rejoiced.

We must have truly expressed gratitude.

That is the real success of life.

Scenes appear according to the desire of the eyes

“Scenes appear according to the desire of the eyes.”

This phrase reveals how a person sees the world based on his vision, desires, and state of mind.

The world is the same for everyone, but the way we see it, understand it, and enjoy it is determined by our inner preferences.

Eyes are the instruments that perceive the outer world.

Yet, the images they show are filtered by the mind.

For one person, a flower garden may appear beautiful.

For another, the same garden may seem like a burden of work.

When one is joyful, the world appears filled with colorful scenes.

When one is sorrowful, the same world looks grey and dull.

Art, music, and literature are all appreciated according to the desire of the eyes.

To one person, a painting may express deep philosophy.

To another, it may look like nothing more than a play of colors.

The way we see people also changes according to our affection and preferences.
The flaws of loved ones may go unnoticed.
The small mistakes of strangers may appear magnified.

Events in society are interpreted based on our values and desires.

To one, a protest may seem like a voice for justice.

To another, it may look like mere chaos.

If desire follows a noble path, the world appears beautiful and meaningful.

This nurtures peace of mind, enthusiasm, and creativity.

If desire is selfish, the world appears broken and negative.

This creates stress, jealousy, and hatred.

The world is like an “illusion.”

What we see is only a reflection of our desires.

If we refine our desires, life becomes beautiful and balanced.

If the mind controls the desires of the eyes, the ability to see truth arises.

“Scenes appear according to the desire of the eyes” is not an ordinary phrase.

It expresses a fundamental truth of human life.

The way the world appears is not because of the world’s nature, but because of the desires of our mind.

Therefore, if we align our desires with higher values, life becomes beautiful and meaningful.

From Where I Am… to Where I Wandered

From Where I Am… to Where I Wandered

In this world, we witness the cycle of life buds becoming blossoms, blossoms turning to fruit, and fruit giving way to seeds.

This life was not something we asked for or chose.

We simply learned to love the soil into which we were planted.

In life, our attachments urge us to live.

Within each heart lies a unique dream, a cherished ideal.

We sketch the boundaries of that dream based on the limits of the world we perceive.

Without knowing whether those boundaries are truly reachable, we begin to run toward them.

Our expectations and emotions race along the path of those dreams.

And as we run, the years begin to run alongside us.

We spend the most vital parts of life in this pursuit, only to realize when the body tires that the goal may not be attainable after all.

We are reminded of the story of the fox looked at the fruit in an in reachable height and said, “Bah! That fruit is sour.”

If this were merely a race, we could return to the starting line and try again.

But this is a journey of life.

Returning to the beginning is no longer possible.

We grow weary.

The heart gives up.

We begin to feel the onset of mental strain.

“What is this? Is he singing a sorrowful song?”

I sense your raised eyebrows.

But this is not an attempt to break your spirit or shake your faith.

It is simply an effort to share the experiences life has given me.

For many years, I believed that walking in the footsteps of others’ success was the way to become someone myself.

Following the path of good people who live by noble values is not wrong.

Studying the lives of great leaders and inheriting their virtues is never a mistake.

Yet, the true reasons behind their success their principles and choices are often beyond our full understanding.

The experiences of others’ victories are like a flowing river.

If we try to redirect that river toward our home to meet our needs, we may not be fulfilled and our home may drown.

Instead, standing at the banks of that river and drawing from it according to our needs is the true strength of the wise.

In my youth, I had access to many privileges that others did not have.

Yet I failed to recognize and use them wisely.

I turned golden moments into dust.

Still, I do not believe that all my youthful experiences were bitter.

Isn’t there a difference in taste between the base of a sugarcane and its tip?

Though I had the chance to taste the rich base, I chose the tip out of curiosity.

But even a river that strays can, at the right time, find its course and merge with the ocean.

Likewise, in my life, the divine sent me a noble companion my wife who helped redirect the flow of my life’s river.

That is the truth behind my transformation.

In shaping the path of this river, the experiences of many who joined me in life’s journey have been my support.

Even those I thought had deceived me did not truly deceive me.

They nourished the richness of my experience.

Many loving souls who embraced me have been the balm for the wounds of my painful moments.

Those who tried to pierce my heart with words have, through their arrows, softened my soul like cotton.

The unexpected turns gifted by divine grace taught me the enduring truths that shape a seemingly unstable life.

Through faith, hard work, and integrity and by trusting in a power greater than all I came to understand the greatness of humanity.

This open self-reflection, I hope, will offer young hearts a new dimension in how they view life.

The truth that dwells deep within the heart is none other than God.

And it is life’s long journey that revealed this truth to me.

The years I spent wandering from where I was to where I am those experiences helped carve the sculpture of my life.

I am grateful for the opportunity to share them with my connected souls.

Living with Gratitude.

Living with Gratitude.

The Meaning Behind Life’s Small Moments

In our journey through life, we begin to realize how deeply meaningful even the smallest moments can be.

Life doesn’t always go according to our plans.

Sometimes, the situations around us and unexpected challenges can make us feel tired or discouraged.

But in the middle of those struggles, small moments  like a child’s smile, a kind word from a friend, or a warm cup of coffee on a rainy day can revive our spirit.

These are the true treasures of life.

As Roger Lee beautifully says,
“Even if life hasn’t been perfect, the small moments of love, peace, and happiness remind us of what we’ve received.

And that’s something to be grateful for.”
This quote reveals a deep truth.

The love, peace, and joy we’ve experienced become the fuel that helps us live with gratitude.

Small moments may seem simple, but their emotional impact is powerful.

We often measure life only by big achievements and success.

But think about the joy of watching a sunrise, the tears that come from hearing an old song, or the peace of sitting quietly under a tree.

These moments help us feel connected to ourselves.

They remind us of the beauty of life and the simple truth: we are still alive.

Gratitude is medicine for the mind.

It helps us break free from negative thoughts.

Instead of focusing on what we’ve lost, we begin to notice what we’ve received  and that brings peace.

A friend who shares a smile, a reader who enjoys our poem, someone who says thank you for a small help these gestures help us live with a grateful heart.

Practicing a positive mindset is essential for life.

To develop this mindset, we must pay attention to the small things around us.

Try writing down three moments of gratitude each day.

Ask yourself, “What made me feel fresh and alive today?”

These small practices help calm the mind and bring balance.

Life is beautiful because it’s unpredictable.

Unexpected meetings, challenges, laughter, and tears all these come together to form a work of art called life.

In that artwork, the small moments we experience become the colors that help us live with gratitude.

No matter how difficult life becomes, these small moments can revive us.

Remembering them with thankfulness makes us emotionally stronger.

A life lived with gratitude is a noble journey one that helps us overcome hardships.

And in that journey, every small moment, every act of love, every moment of peace becomes a precious gift that helps us feel truly alive.

Shadows and Reality

Shadows and Reality

Believing shadows as the truth,
Memories of yesterday remain.
The heart that wanders in reality,
Plays the dramas of today.
When shadow and truth unite,
Tomorrow becomes a dreamland.

Dreams dissolve within the eyes,
From tears a poem is born.
When emotions stand at the edge,
Music rises within the soul.
Tomorrow alone will speak to us,
Moments become our very breath.

When silence finds its language,
The doorway of the mind opens.
Walking in the stride of shadows,
Reality embraces us whole.
Even darkness can gift us light,
A blinking instant is enough.

Time will guide our steps,
The path we choose is ours.
Though roads may branch apart,
The vision remains as one.
Hope itself becomes our shadow,
Tomorrow’s truth becomes ourselves.

Though thoughts may scatter wide,
Wings will spread and soar.
Though dreams may break apart,
The light in our eyes won’t fade.
Shadows will show us the way,
Reality will help us live.

In moments when bonds melt,
Emotions awaken to life.
Shadows draw us closer still,
Truths move us to tenderness.
When both unite as one,
Compassion rules our being.

Though old pages may still speak,
New creations are born again.
Shadows remind us of the past,
Reality lifts us to stand tall.
Tomorrow places its trust in us,
And we learn to love ourselves.

The Gateway to a Joyful Life

Welcoming Challenges.

The Gateway to a Joyful Life

It is essential to remember that the mindset of welcoming challenges is the gateway to a joyful life.

“You can't stop trouble from coming, but you don't have to give it a chair to sit on.”

This Zen proverb reminds us of a fundamental truth of life

Challenges are inevitable.

But how we respond to them determines the quality of our life.

We must reflect on the mindset required to face challenges.

The Attitude of Acceptance

Challenges are natural.

Trying to resist them only increases mental stress.

Acceptance is not defeat it is the first step toward wisdom.

Understanding that every challenge is temporary is vital.

Each obstacle has a time limit.
The belief that “this too shall pass” brings peace to the mind.

Mindsets to Avoid

The habit of magnifying problems
Identifying oneself with the problem (“I am the problem”)
Repeatedly revisiting past wounds, which intensifies inner pressure

Practical Ways to Handle Challenges

Clear Perception:
View the problem without emotional distortion.
Ask: “What is this? What is the solution?” These questions bring clarity.

Take Action:
Break the problem into smaller parts
Move toward resolution through small steps
Never hesitate to ask for help

Meditation and Breathwork:
These are foundations of well-being.

Daily meditation calms mental turbulence.

Focusing on the breath brings immediate peace.

Gratitude:
Gratitude enriches the heart.

Recall moments free of trouble and give thanks.

This shifts your mental state toward positivity.

Signs of a Joyful, Healthy Life

Emotional Freedom:
Even when problems arise, they need not define your mood.

You have the power to choose your emotional response.

Caring for Physical Health:
Peace of mind supports physical health.

Reduced stress leads to fewer issues like high blood pressure or insomnia.

Relationships:
Relationships should not be essential.

They must be nurturing.

The willingness to share challenges strengthens bonds and reduces loneliness.

Perspective Shift:
Every challenge becomes a lesson.

Asking “What is this teaching me?” transforms life into a journey of wisdom.

Life is a journey.

Obstacles are part of that journey.

But how we face them determines the depth of our joy.

Welcoming challenges, moving through them swiftly, and living with gratitude these together pave the way for a joyful and healthy life.

I receive and absorb the echoes of my  inner voice, along, with you with reverence and reflection.

Heaven that cannot be reached

Unspoken word
Truth in darkness
Light that cannot chase it
Sweetness that cannot be tasted
Heaven that cannot be reached
Within this prison of imagination
Man encloses himself
A thousand meanings for freedom
Is man a wonder? Or a wreck?

Sight unseen
Thought unknown
Goal unattained
Desire unending
Within this cage of mind
Man entangles himself
In the name of liberation
Is man a riddle? Or the answer?

Voice unheard
Language unclear
Fire unquenched
Path unknown
Within this field of thought
Man hides himself
Chasing the meaning of life
Is man a dream? Or illusion?

Touch unfelt
Feeling unknown
Peace unattained
Sorrow unending
Within this fortress of heart
Man encloses himself
Hearing the cry of freedom
Is man a shadow? Or a trial?

Air ungrasped
Burden unbearable
Victory unattained
Failure unending
Within this net of life
Man entangles himself
Dreaming of liberation
Is man a hero? Or a fall?

Shore unseen
Ocean unreached
Wave unending
Desire unquenched
Within this whirl of thought
Man circles himself
Seeking the path of freedom
Is man a journey? Or a fear?

Beginning unknown
Ending unfinished
Memory unending
Dream unquenched
Within this cage of time
Man encloses himself
Searching for the door of freedom
Is man truth? Or metaphor?

Silence, Purpose, and Blessings A Guiding Light

Silence, Purpose, and Blessings A Guiding Light for Modern Life

In today’s fast-paced world, we are constantly surrounded by noise, information, and pressure.

Yet, amidst all this noise, what we often forget is the silence within us.

Silence is not merely the absence of sound.

It is a deep state of self-awareness.

In that silence, our true thoughts, emotions, fears, and desires come to light.

Cultivating a connection with our inner silence helps release us from mental stress.

It is a form of psychological purification. Today, practices like yoga, meditation, and solitude are all driven by the urge to reconnect with that inner silence.

That silence becomes a guiding voice within us.

Every event in life whether joyful or painful comes with a purpose.

Sometimes, that purpose isn’t immediately clear.

But as time passes, when we look back, we begin to understand how that experience changed us, helped us grow.

For example, losing a job, the end of a relationship, or even illness each can open the door to a new path.

In today’s world, the word “resilience” is often spoken about.

It means the ability to face difficulties and rise again.

That strength is rooted in the idea of purpose.

Even the mistakes we make can be blessings in disguise.

Because they teach us something.

Modern education systems, workplaces, and life itself encourage a positive mindset.

That is, instead of saying “I failed,” we learn to say “I learned.”

This perspective is essential for today’s youth, families, and society at large.

We must create an environment where we forgive each other’s mistakes and learn together. That is the true blessing.

Every event in life is a blessing.

In silence, we can recognize those blessings.

We can live with purpose.

We can transform mistakes into blessings.

In today’s world, these ideas strengthen us emotionally, connect us socially, and help us become better human beings.

This is possible.

Where are we going ?

We live on this earth because a seed sown by someone fell into someone’s garden and grew into a tree.

In this, who we are, in whose womb we are born, and when we are born none of these are in our hands.

This what in our minds and this is how our belief system works.

But according to spiritual understanding, it is said that we take birth only to gain experiences and attain maturity of the soul.

In such a life, we continue to live in the illusion that our pride, arrogance, and ego are permanent.

Those who realize their mistakes and first ask for forgiveness are the true heroes of life.

Those who dare to forgive the wrongs done to them by others are the ones who possess great strength in their hearts.

Those who learn to forget past mistakes and wrongdoers, and move forward, are the ones who truly make happiness their own.

In this uncertain world, nature’s events make us long for certainty.

It is time to reflect on the contributions of today’s people to the existence of tomorrow’s world.

Because it exists, it is exploited by those who exist the natural resources are what get destroyed!

Even if we are not here, our descendants will live.

The question is: what are we going to leave behind for them?

Our ancestors left us the civilization of man living as man.

They insisted to us that no one should be a slave to anyone.

Having taken that freedom into our hands, are we now using it to walk the destructive path of greed, thereby ruining the lives of the next generation?

My beloved younger generation!

This is the moment to think and act.

Is our goal to destroy nature for the sake of our boundless desires?

Or is our goal to establish the principle that protecting nature alone guarantees the well-being of future generations, and to live accordingly?

Everything lies in the hands of the loving young society.

Forgiving mistakes becomes the greatest of your virtues.

One should not scratch with thorns the place that was touched by a flower.

If you act with patience, attentiveness, love, and firm determination, even failure will surrender before you.

The enthusiasm of youth the seeds sown in your thoughts will grow into the trees of tomorrow’s world.

Those seeds must be nourished with love, patience, compassion, and protection of nature.

Only then will not just your life, but also the lives of your descendants, flourish.

The world is in your hands.

Every small action of yours will create a great change in the future.

Sow love, nurture unity, protect nature. Then your name will shine in history, and your life will attain its true meaning.

You can do it.

The Power of Gratitude: A Path to Joy

The Power of Gratitude: A Path to Joy

The world we live in is filled with expectations.

Each day brings us experiences some small, some significant, some sweet, and some challenging that shape us in different ways.

But how that transformation unfolds depends entirely on our state of mind.

In this journey, gratitude emerges as a mysterious and guiding force.

The idea that “Gratitude is the most powerful emotion in the world” resonates across all dimensions of life.

Gratitude must be seen as the light of the mind.

It is not merely the act of saying “thank you.”

It is a mindset.

Even when an experience leaves us with sorrow or discomfort, gratitude allows us to reflect.

What did I learn?

What did I feel?

What did I let go of?

For instance, missing out on a job opportunity may bring disappointment.

Yet, that very experience can make us clearer, more prepared.

Through gratitude, we begin to see even failure as a doorway to growth.

A Life Lived with Gratitude Is a Joyful Life

To live with gratitude is to cultivate the habit of seeing every moment as a blessing.

This forms the foundation of emotional well-being.

When stress, anxiety, or disappointment try to overwhelm us, gratitude acts as a counterforce.

Asking ourselves, “What am I learning right now?” leads us toward inner peace.

Gratitude van be a bridge between hearts

Gratitude can also be seen as a bridge that strengthens relationships.

Whether it’s parents, friends, teachers, or even those who serve us when we respond to their small acts of kindness with sincere gratitude, those bonds deepen.

The habit of expressing thanks reveals both our values and our respect for others.

It also fosters social harmony.

Practicing Gratitude in Daily Life is a must to have a peaceful existence.

Gratitude must be woven into the fabric of our everyday living.

Here are a few practices:

Daily Gratitude Journal: Each night, write down three things you’re grateful for.

Gratitude Letter , Write a heartfelt note to someone who has played a meaningful role in your life.

Gratitude Reflection,In difficult moments, ask yourself, “What good can I find in this?”

Gratitude is a spiritual journey.

It helps us find joy not through external circumstances, but through inner serenity.

Training the mind to respond with gratitude to every event that unfolds can transform us into the happiest person on earth.

A life lived in the light of gratitude moves forward with a smile even in the face of challenges.

Another Day ...... another way ......

The light of dawn has entered, driving away the darkness. Another day has gently blossomed.

We have lost a moment in life that can never be regained.

But the way we look at that loss is what truly matters.

If the mind is accustomed to sorrow, it will lament: “Alas, we have lost yet another day of our life.”

If the mind is trained to see positively, it will rejoice: “Ah, we have entered a new day! How many wonders might await us?”

Yet in reality, we are the same people today as we were yesterday.

Can a negative mindset be instantly transformed into a positive one?

Not so easily.

Experienced teachers say that the way to achieve this is through meditation.

Meditation is not a concept that appeared recently.

Thousands of years ago, sages across races, religions, and languages practiced it.

I too once held the mistaken belief that meditation was only for monks and ascetics.

Today’s world rushes forward at a frantic pace.

Without setting boundaries for our desires, we lose ourselves in the pursuit of them.

We fail to realize that true peace, joy, and health already exist within us.

Meditation is the means by which we rediscover those lost treasures of peace and bliss.

Even while enjoying the pleasures and ideals of family life, taking just a few minutes each day for meditation is something everyone can do.

Meditation transcends divisions of race, religion, and language.

Just as spirituality rises above all boundaries, so too does meditation.

My beloved younger generation,

Meditation is not something reserved only for the elderly.

Peace is urgently needed by people of all ages from five to a hundred.

Modern science too affirms this truth.

Meditation is the foundation for mental peace, physical health, and sharpened intelligence.

You can do it.

Sakthi Sakthithasan

Success and failures .......

The world we live in greatly values success.

Titles, fame, and wealth are often considered the foundations of achievement.

But where does true worth lie?

The answer to that question must be deeply understood.

Let us explore the path to a joyful life, based on the idea that
“Integrity is not proven by grand victories, but by small, quiet choices.”

Small Choices, Profound Impact

The small decisions we make each day speaking without hurting others, avoiding lies, steering clear of unnecessary arguments are all expressions of integrity.

These may not appear as great triumphs.

Yet they lead us toward inner happiness.

Understanding a friend even when they behave wrongly.

Responding calmly when someone in the family is angry.

Explaining the truth gently when wrongly accused at work.

All these nurture a light of purity within us.

Courage Is the Shape of Calm

Harsh words and competitive ambition may seem courageous.

But true courage lies in the mindset that says,
“Even though I could hurt someone, I choose not to.”

Those quiet refusals and gentle truths transform us into better human beings.

They guide us toward a joyful life, free from guilt and filled with peace.

The Foundation of Joyful Living

Happiness is not a reward that follows success.

It is a state of mind.

That state can be cultivated in many ways:

Integrity: A mindset of living truthfully, without deceit.

Calmness: A habit of responding thoughtfully, avoiding conflict.

Self-respect: Living not for others’ praise, but for our own inner values.

When these come together, life becomes a gentle melody.

“Success is not necessary to be respected” is not just a quote.
It is a way of life.

That way of life transforms us into joyful, peaceful, and admirable individuals.

Every small, honest choice we make elevates us.

That elevation is the true success.

The Light and Shadow of Thought .....

The Light and Shadow of Thought  Healing and Poison in Everyday Life

The light and shadow of thought are deeply intertwined with the healing and toxicity of our daily lives.

The world we live in is shaped by the reflections of our thoughts.

Each day, the thoughts that arise in our minds have the power to either nurture or harm our body and mind.

Thoughts filled with understanding, forgiveness, and compassion immediately bring healing within us.

Likewise, thoughts filled with judgment and anger instantly poison us.

A Small Incident That Reveals the Greenery of Understanding

One day, a student arrived late to school.

Instead of getting angry, the teacher gently asked, “What happened?” .

Tears welled up in the student’s eyes. “My father is in the hospital… I went to see him,” he replied.

That single question, filled with understanding, planted a seed of trust in the student’s heart.

The teacher’s heart too found peace.

This is the healing power of compassion.

A Family Experience That Illustrates the Fire of Judgment

The next day, in a family setting, a son shared that he had lost his job.

The parents responded, “You’re always lazy!”

Those judgmental words shattered the son’s spirit.

Fatigue, mental stress, and cracks in relationships all emerged from a single assumption.

Anger born of judgment is a poison.

It immediately affects us and those around us.

The Power of Thought A Guide for Life

We cannot control our emotions.

But we can choose our thoughts.

When a friend makes a mistake, instead of asking “Why did you do this?”, asking “Is it you or is it us?” is the path of understanding.

When a mistake occurs, asking “Can I forgive?” is the path of compassion.

When a problem arises, saying “Let’s solve this together” is the path of cooperation.

All of these are healing for our body and mind.

And they illuminate those around us.

The Path We Choose  Light or Shadow.

Life is a painting made of light and shadow.

Thoughts that bring light: trust, peace, love.

Thoughts that bring shadow: fear, anger, judgment.

The kind of thought we create determines the color of that painting.

If we choose light, our body and mind will be well.

If we choose shadow, our life and relationships will crumble.

Thought Is a Seed  It Becomes the Crop of Our Life

Every thought is a seed.

When we sow understanding, forgiveness, and compassion, the crop of love grows.

When we sow judgment and anger, the vines of poison grow.

The seed we choose to sow determines the quality of our life.

Choosing our thoughts is like choosing a healing path for our body and mind.

And those around us feel it too.

So let us create thoughts that bring light.

Our lives and the world will be well.

I shall return again,
