The Heart's Resonance
The Beginning of the Call Towards Life's True Path.
The Root of Suffering and the Resistance of the Inner Mind.
All human beings seek joy and peace in life.
However, all of us experience deep suffering at some point.
The beginning of this article reveals an important truth.
"So much suffering comes from the resistance toward a decision your heart knows is right for you."
Our heart, or inner mind, acts like a guide.
It knows what our true path is and what the right decision is for us.
Although this is clear to us, implementing it in practice is very difficult.
The reason for this is our fear and resistance.
For example, the inner mind might say you should leave a job and look for a new field.
But, fear arises with thoughts like, "The current income is enough for now," or "What if I fail if I make a change?"
This fear makes us resist the inner mind's decision.
When we resist what is truly right for us, the universe or life brings certain difficulties and obstacles into our path to make us look back.
These do not come to punish us.
Instead, they come to signal, "This is your divine path, come back."
When difficulties continue, we must realize that "we are making a mistake, and we are ignoring the inner mind's guidance."
This is the first step of experiential knowledge.
That is, the wisdom is to understand that all the difficult experiences that happen in life are not merely tests, but signals that are guiding us back to our correct path.
Therefore, whenever suffering comes, it is essential to ask ourselves, "Which decision of my inner mind am I resisting now?"
The Danger of Finding Comfort in Discomfort
Why Can't We Change?
Why is it that even after hearing the inner mind's call, we cannot make a change?
The reason for this is the false comfort offered by our 'fear'.
"Your fear might convince you that it's better to stay put than make a change."
Travelling on an unfamiliar, new path seems harder than the familiar, difficult path we are already used to.
This mindset pushes many people into the state of "finding comfort in their own discomfort."
This feeling is like being trapped inside a cage we ourselves built.
For example, staying in an unsatisfactory relationship, continuing a job without passion, or not changing unhealthy habits all of these indicate a state of stagnation.
Here, the thought, "It is difficult, but it's okay, we are used to it," becomes deeply rooted.
But life must constantly grow.
Just as stagnant water spoils, this state of stagnation harms our mind and body.
This is where the warning about health comes.
"Stagnation leads to dis-ease (mental stress/unease), which can eventually lead to disease."
Dis-ease is not merely a mental affliction. It is the result of a deep struggle that occurs when our soul and our heart are unable to walk the path they desire.
This inner struggle eventually affects the body's health.
Therefore, when we refuse to change, we lose not only our peace but also our health.
So, if you are not feeling comfortable where you are, but are pacifying your mind with 'well, this is enough,' realize that you are in a state of stagnation.
The cost of stagnation is higher than you think.
Your heart will not mislead you.
Releasing the grip of fear and submitting to the truth of the inner mind is the first step toward change.
Finally, this journey ends with a hopeful invitation.
"Your heart will never guide you astray.
There's a reason things are difficult."
Life is a continuous practice for us to elevate ourselves.
Every difficulty you face is not a punishment; it is an opportunity for your growth.
"Life is inviting you to step up, make a change, and move forward."
This is the peak of experiential knowledge.
After bravely making a change, what you gain is not a temporary success.
Instead, you gain some imperishable knowledge that will guide your life.
The experience teaches you the deep confidence that the decision you took, bound by your heart's voice no matter how scary will be the right one for you.
You feel a sense of liberation and gain new strength, even if you fail after making the change, compared to the days you lived with fear.
The wisdom dawns that difficulties come to shape you according to the contribution you must make in life.
This is the true meaning of 'returning to the divine path.'
After attaining this knowledge, it is difficult for you to return to a state of stagnation.
Because your experience has taught you that stagnation is the real failure, and moving toward change is the nature of life.
Life is only once.
Do not live it with fear or stagnation.
Trust the truth your heart tells you.
That is the right path for you.
You might be in a difficult situation now, but that is your call.
"Trust this. Trust life. Trust your heart and make the change."
Every step you take towards change with courage, listening to the inner mind's voice, will make your life meaningful and filled with experiential knowledge.
Start acting!
