The Path of a Meaningful Life
Living life successfully is not an easy task.
Often, the actions of those around us challenge and alter the course of our genuine decisions.
Yet, within us, there remains a certain faith like seeing a faint ray of light in a dark cave when we have lost our way.
At times, the meaning of events that time brings upon us remains unclear.
When the mind is troubled, it is that small ray of hope and the vast ocean of patience that prevent our spirit from breaking, guiding us forward.
Hope is not mere imagination.
It is the life-force that propels us.
Just as a seed buried in the soil sprouts because of the life-force within it,
so too does the hope within us emerge as light, even amidst the deepest darkness.
Not everything that happens ends well.
But neither does everything that is yet to happen turn out to be negative.
When struck by great sorrow or failure, we often fail to notice the small victories around us.
The ability to recognize and celebrate small successes gives us the strength to endure great defeats.
A small smile, a small act of love, a small achievement these are the little rays of light that free us from the heavy burdens of life.
Only when we look deeply, not superficially, can we discern the good from the bad, like the swan that separates milk from water.
Every human born into this world has the moral right to shape their life successfully.
But we often forget that the same right belongs to others as well.
True humanity lies in recognizing and respecting the rights of others.
Not in standing tall alone, but in lifting those around us.
This spirit of “Let us live, and let others live” is the eternal light of humankind.
If this spirit thrives, society can grow beyond divisions into a harmonious unity.
Just as dawn follows night and dusk follows day, nature teaches us a lesson:
Nothing is permanent.
Darkness of sorrow will not last forever.
The brightness of joy will not last forever either.
Understanding this truth brings balance to the mind.
When joy enters life, it blooms slowly.
When sorrow arrives, it too settles in gradually.
But just as day follows night and night follows day,
so too do joy and sorrow alternate naturally.
Thus, accepting the cycle of life is what leads us to lasting peace.
Remember: joy is temporary; sorrow will pass.
This balance is the foundation of inner peace.
Therefore, we must neither rejoice at others’ suffering nor envy others’ happiness.
The strength of a person’s mind can be known through their self-control.
Their power can be seen in their inner peace.
A strong mind anchored in peace never falters.
This is the highest virtue that directs thought along the right path.
- Honesty in poverty
- Perseverance in failure
- Courage in sorrow
- Simplicity in wealth
- Humility in position
- Patience in anger
- Purity in love
- Modesty in restraint
- Willingness in labor
- Economy in speech
- Interest in learning
- Devotion in duty
With these simple qualities, if we accept life’s challenges bravely, hold faith in our principles, and live without harming others, that alone is enough.
My dear generation,
Guides of tomorrow,
Bring forth the hidden self within you.
Test your actions against the touchstone of truth.
Experience rightful success with calmness.
Let your footprints be deep and straight.
All are victors in their own way.
You can do it.
With love,
