We always think good thoughts, do good deeds, and act without violating our conscience.
Yet, suffering and trials keep arriving in waves.
The heart burns, the mind grows weary. We begin to wonder—what kind of life is this? Why does it unfold this way? And we may feel tempted to drift aimlessly.
Yes, everything I’ve mentioned above are experiences that have arisen within me.
But it is precisely in such moments that we must tighten our reins.
Our eyes must stay fixed on the path we are meant to walk. We must remind ourselves again and again of our ideals and goals.
To live as a true human being, without betraying our conscience, is no easy task.
The decisions made by those around us—and the events that follow—can directly affect us.
The echoes of those impacts may shake our inner strength. But if we walk forward without letting our resolve waver, then over time, our perseverance will transform even mental anguish into the clay of victory. That is no small triumph.
I have toiled at the depths of life.
I have also swum in the joy of life’s highest peaks.
But when peace is cultivated within the mind, neither pleasure nor pain can disturb it.
The mind may grieve at times, but when we seek the right explanations for that sorrow, it becomes bearable.
Violence never resolves any of life’s problems.
If “an eye for an eye” were the solution, this world would have long become a blind one.
Birth and death are the laws of life. Joy and sorrow are its flavors.
Human life is born from this blend.
Even if we feel we’ve understood the subtleties of life, when our expectations go unmet, disappointment inevitably follows.
Escaping the bitterness of that disappointment can feel impossible.
Yet we must move forward through it and continue living.
Just as expecting is part of life, so too is learning to accept disappointment. Cultivating that maturity within ourselves is the only way to build a truly fulfilling life.
A mindset that approaches everything with openness is essential.
Whether we’re about to take action or meet someone, we must not approach with suspicion.
We must operate from a foundation of trust—without drowning in it. Standing on the fine line between trust and doubt is the wisest path.
May today be a beautiful day for everyone.
To the younger generation:
Tomorrow rests in your hands. Never forget your power to shape it into something good for all.
Act with love as your foundation.
Become sculptors of a wondrous future—one that makes Mother Tamil rejoice.
You can do it.
With love,
