At the dawn of 2026

At the dawn of 2026, new hopes, new dreams, and new journeys rise in our lives.

This is the moment to approach the future with confidence, taking the lessons of the past as our guide.

What is true wealth?

The fullness of thought itself is real wealth.
When one cultivates the mind of “enough,” every person becomes rich.

The moment we surrender to the dominance of the thought, “I do not have what others have,” we become poor.
No matter what we gain, the mind will not find peace.

For example, in the Ramayana, Kaikeyi tells Rama to go to the forest.
How does Kamban describe it?
She says: “Pūmi venkānam” — go to the dusty, desolate forest.
But Rama sees it differently: “Min oḷir kānam” — I go to the forest shining with radiant light.

Yes, wealth lies in the satisfaction of the mind.

The right way to compare

It is often said that we should compare ourselves with those below us to find peace.
But that is the wrong path.
Instead, “Compare yourself with those higher in virtue, and with those lower in material possessions.”
That is the best way.

As a song once said:
“He who studies the grammar of living well with what he has is a true worker.”

Entering the New Year

We step into a brand-new year.
All the events we crossed in the past year are but pages of experience!
Everything depends on how we transform those experiences to positively guide the direction of our life’s journey.

Faith in the younger generation

My younger generation is not lacking in strength.
I am confident they will surely live as true examples.

The Wealth of Knowledge

Material wealth may perish, but the wealth of knowledge never fades.
In this New Year, let us all strive to grow in knowledge.
It will elevate not only our lives but also society.

The Abundance of Love

Love, when shared, does not diminish; it multiplies.
In 2026, let us sow love as seeds and cultivate unity as the harvest.
The abundance of love is humanity’s true wealth.

The Excellence of Action

Thoughts may be lofty, but only through action do they bear fruit.
This year, let us move forward with determination to turn our dreams into deeds.
Small actions create great changes.

Life is a blessing live it to the fullest.

Life is a blessing live it to the fullest.

When I say “live fully,” I do not mean the number of years.

I speak of the emotions of the heart.
To rejoice when it is time to rejoice, to grieve when it is time to grieve, to extend a hand when it is time to support
to transform the challenges life places before us into opportunities that favor us this is what it means to live a complete life.

One who has lived fully need not have lived a hundred years.

It is enough if, in the span they were given, they felt and lived each moment deeply.

It is in the darkest hours that buds blossom into beautiful flowers.

Life as a whole is woven from such rare moments.

To perceive them and live experientially is the secret of a victorious life.

Looking back, I realize how foolish I have been to miss many such moments in my own life.

Life is flavorful, fascinating, surprising, and wondrous.

To complete this journey successfully, embracing all its twists and turns, is the challenge before us.

We can learn from many people and many places about the curves and turns of life.

Among them, nature teaches us countless lessons:

From the waves of the sea: perseverance

From the sun: unfailing duty

From the flowing river: inspiration

From flowers: a smile

From ants: diligence

From bees: saving and storing

From the earth: patience

From God: compassion

Dear ones, the success of life rests in your own hands.

The ideal goal of everyone is very near; it is only the path to reach it that takes time to discern.

Young generation, realize through wisdom otherwise experience will teach you.

Life is a music.

Every note, every raga, every rhythm has its own uniqueness.

If we feel that music within and live in harmony with it, life will always be sweet.
Even when a wrong note arises, remember that we have the ability to correct it.

What matters is not how long our journey is, but how we travel it.

If we walk guided by love, compassion, patience, and faith, our steps will remain firm even on the hardest paths.

To treat each day of life as a new opportunity and to make it meaningful—that is true success.

Spirituality A Justified Need of Life

Spirituality A Justified Need of Life

Human life is a journey filled with complexities and challenges.

Every day we face difficulties, competitions, desires, and disappointments that push us into inner stress.

Spirituality is not religion.

It is the path that creates joy, understanding, and love. To grasp this truth is one of the essential needs of modern human life.

What is the true dimension of spirituality?

Spirituality is not about escaping life or dwelling in some otherworldly bliss.

Rather, it is about discovering ways to face life’s struggles and creating peace, happiness, and joy here, on this very earth.

This means spirituality does not separate us from the world.

It gives us the strength to live in harmony with the world and the resilience to face challenges.

What are the needs of people today?

In today’s world, people face several pressing needs:

Inner peace – Technology, work, and competition increase mental stress.

Understanding and love – Lack of empathy in families, communities, and nations leads to conflict.

Peace – Wars, violence, and environmental destruction threaten human existence globally.

The only way to fulfill these needs is to integrate spirituality into life.

Small changes in the direction of our daily living can bring immense transformation.

Spirituality does not demand great upheavals; it empowers us to change the world by shifting the flow of our thoughts and actions.

Pathways of practice

Self-awareness – Spending a few minutes each day in meditation, breathing, or quiet reflection increases inner peace.

Acts of love – Simple gestures in family, workplace, and society – a smile, a helping hand, a kind word – become seeds of transformation.

Environmental care – Respecting nature, using resources wisely, and protecting greenery form the foundation of global peace.

Understanding and patience – Accepting differences and learning to see from another’s perspective reduces conflict in society.

What is our role in world peace?

If each of us brings spirituality into our lives, it will not only bring personal happiness but also lay the foundation for global peace.

When a family lives in harmony, that peace spreads to the community.

When love and understanding prevail in a community, it strengthens the stability of the nation.

When nations live in peace, the whole world becomes a land of harmony.

Thus, spirituality is not merely an individual journey; it is a collective path that shapes the world into a peaceful earth.

Spirituality is not tied to religion.

It is tied to the rightful needs of human life. Through small shifts – in thought, love, patience, and care for the environment – we gain the power to transform not only ourselves but the entire world.

Spirituality is the art of living each moment deeply.

If we all learn this art, this earth will truly become a land of peace.

Life is an ocean

The vast ocean called life shapes us each day through new experiences.

Just like its waves, our journey holds both rises and falls.

Sometimes it embraces us with calmness.

Sometimes it tests us with its harshness.

But every single wave carries a meaning,
a lesson, and a moment of growth.

Dear next generation, you are the ones who will build tomorrow’s world.

That is why it is important to understand the lessons of this ocean‑life deeply and move forward.

The ocean is calm at times.

There is a profound beauty in that calmness.

Similarly, in our lives too, peaceful moments will come.

They are not boring moments.

They are moments that help us understand our inner self.

In that silence:

You can see your dreams clearly.
You can discover your abilities.
You can plan your journey.
You can strengthen your mind.

Dear next generation,

Do not waste these quiet moments.

They are treasures that shape you.

The ocean is not always calm. Sometimes it roars.

Waves rise and strike the shore. Life is the same.

Sometimes:

Failures will come.
Hope may break.
Friends may drift away.
Efforts may not bear fruit.

But remember — strong waves shape the shore.

Likewise, challenges shape you.

Challenges do not come to break you; they come to strengthen you.

All the great achievers of the world have faced fierce waves.

But they all did one thing — they stood before the waves; they did not run.

Waves rise and fall in the ocean.

Every wave has a rhythm.

In life too, every experience carries a lesson.

Failure teaches patience.
Success teaches humility.
Sorrow teaches compassion.
Joy teaches gratitude.

Dear next generation!

Engrave these lessons in your heart.

Every experience life gives you is meant to lift you higher.

From a distance, the ocean always looks beautiful.

When you go near, you see its depth, its power, its mystery.

Life is the same.

It is complex,
filled with challenges,
yet at the same time, it is wonderful.

If you:

Believe in your dreams,
Continue your efforts,
Keep your mind strong,
Nurture goodness in your heart,

Life will always remain beautiful.

You are the architects of tomorrow’s world.

Your thoughts will change the world.

Your actions will uplift society.

Your dreams will advance humanity.

Therefore:

Do not fear.
Do not give up.
Do not underestimate yourself.
Do not compare your journey with anyone else’s.
Listen to the voice within you.
Do not stop your efforts.

Like the ocean, you are deep.
Like the waves, you can rise.
Like the sun, you can shine.

Dear ones!

This world is waiting for you.

Your talent, your light, your humanity — all these have the power to change the world.

Every small effort you make becomes a seed of great transformation.

You can do it.

Sakthi Sakthithasan

The Beauty of Life and the Journey of Happiness

The Beauty of Life and the Journey of Happiness

A Deep Perspective on Real-Life Success

What is life?

Is it a journey rushing toward a destination,
or a tapestry woven from the experiences that arise within us every moment?

Human beings keep searching for the meaning of life.

But where does that meaning truly lie?

Is it in our personal happiness,
or in the well-being of the people around us?

The answer to this profound question is beautifully captured in these lines:

“The beauty of life does not lie in
how happy
you are.

It lies in
how happy the people around you are
because of you.”

This single idea reflects the entire philosophy of human life
and the fundamental truth of social living.

The Shift Toward Individualism

Today’s world has become increasingly individual-centered.

“My life, my dream, my success” —
this mindset has grown stronger.

But human beings were not created to live in isolation.

We grow only within the network of relationships around us.

A person can be happy alone to some extent.

But for that happiness to last,
it must spread to others as well.

If only one person in a family is happy,
that is not true happiness.

If only one person succeeds in a workplace,
that is not true success.

If only a few benefit in a society,
that is not true progress.

Happiness is not a private possession;
it is a wealth that grows only when shared.

Who Are the “People Around Us”?

The word “people around us” does not refer only to family.

It includes everyone who lives with us,
works with us, travels with us, yrusts us,
and is affected by our actions.

  • A simple smile from us can ease someone’s stress.

  • A kind word can change someone’s day.

  • A small act of help can transform someone’s life.

Therefore, the beauty of life does not lie in our personal joy,
but in the positive impact we create.

“Happiness is not a place you reach; it is a journey.”

This line reveals a profound truth.

We often imagine happiness as a future destination:

  • “I will be happy when I get this job.”

  • “I will be happy when I buy this house.”

  • “I will be happy when I reach this position.”

But even after reaching those goals,
humans immediately begin searching for new ones.

So happiness is not a destination.

It is a journey.

Happiness lives in our daily actions,
our relationships,
our gratitude,
our sharing,
our compassion,
and in every step of the path we walk.

True Success

True success is measured by:

  • How many lives improved because of us

  • How many people gained hope because of us

  • How many hearts felt joy because of us

Money, status, and fame are temporary.

But the relationships we build —
they are what carry us to the end of life.

Even a small act of kindness
can create a great change in someone’s life.

So instead of saying,
“I am happy,”
the higher state is being able to say,
“People are happy because of me.”

The Art of Living Beautifully

It is good to run toward success.
But while running:

  • Notice the people around you

  • Express gratitude

  • Enjoy the small joys

These are what make life beautiful.

Life is a long journey.

Our happiness alone is not enough.

The happiness we create for others
is the true measure of our life’s worth.

A lamp does not shine only for itself.
It dispels the darkness around it.

Likewise, when a human being shares his happiness with others,
only then does he truly experience
the beauty of life.

Life as it is .........

Life is delightful but only to those who know how to savour it.

Life is beautiful but only to those who understand the true meaning of beauty.

Life is a textbook but only to those who grasp the three hidden syllables within the word “Kalvi” (Education): kal (stone), kavi (poetry), and vil (bow).

Without realising it, we live our lives unaware of the countless things we do not know, the innumerable truths that surround us.

Those who understand that life is a journey turn every stone on their path into a stepping stone.

Those who realise that obstacles are not meant to stop them but to push them forward are the ones who progress.

Only those who understand the purpose of their life at a very young age achieve great things within a short span and leave the world.

For many others, by the time they realise that life has a purpose, most of their life has already passed.

Time will not pause or wait for us.

But our feelings, our actions, and our efforts can make time meaningful.

Those who value time conquer life; those who waste time are defeated by life.

We spend our days arguing whether God exists or not, or whether there is a divine force beyond religions.

The immeasurable power buried within us is that very divine force.

We fail to understand that this power blossoms only through the growth of our humanity.

The answers man seeks are not outside.

They lie deep within him.

Only those who touch that depth find true peace and bliss.

Self-reflection begins with the question: Do we live what we write?

One who writes poetry is not a true poet.

One who lives poetically is the true poet, said the great Bharathiyar.

One who merely performs service is not a servant of the people; one who lives as a servant is the true leader  as demonstrated by Karmaveerar Kamarajar.

Victory is not in winning within our dreams, but in making dreams that uplift humanity come true  as proved by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

I was simply living  born somehow, grew up somehow, lived somehow.

Then I began to enjoy writing, and so I wrote something.

The most energetic part of my life rushed past and disappeared.

Only after entering the twilight of old age did I begin to understand why one should write and what one should write.

Only when I realised that I sow and reap my own life did I think, “Ah… perhaps I should have sown better seeds.”

When I accept that I must reap what I have already sown, my heart feels a little lighter.

When I understood the true meaning of Kannadasan’s words  “Youth, learn from me. Time is precious. Do not waste it” I had already reached the age of 69.

My dear younger generation!

Write abundantly  not necessarily on paper.

Write in the book of life by living as exemplary human beings.

When the soil is fertile, when the time and season are right, sow good seeds.

May future generations harvest a life filled with love and wisdom.

You can do it.

Sakthi Sakthithasan

Spare me a thought .... For your eyes only....

Carrying in our hearts the sweet moments of love-filled experiences from the day after the birthday of the Lord the symbol of love and the abode of affection we open our eyes to a new morning.

Love is not merely an emotion directed toward someone.

It is the light within us that has the power to illuminate another person’s life.

Where love is expressed, fear diminishes, hatred disappears, and a human truly becomes human.

That is why love is not an action, but a state of being.

What, then, is the true sign of love?

What is the real expression of affection?

Working to stabilize our own lives, striving to strengthen the security of our families
none of these should be mistaken as selfishness.

How can one who does not love himself truly love another?

If one cannot find success in his own life, how can he lift someone else onto the steps of success?

This is where we must carefully calculate the answers to these questions.

Life is not merely a journey of earning.

It is a spiritual journey of discovering ourselves.

No matter how high a position we reach, if our heart lacks peace, that height becomes nothing more than a shadow.

True elevation is born only in the moments when our inner being expands.

What is the boundary of stability in our lives?

What is the definition of success in our life?

Wealth alone does not stabilize life.

Titles and positions alone do not make a life successful.

Wealth is necessary, titles and positions are necessary.

But even those who lack these can still attain a stable and successful life!

Because the power that grants all these lies hidden within us.

If we steady our mind and understand the self that resides within, everything becomes possible.

The strength of our inner being cannot be found outside.

It is forged in the fire of our experiences.

Every failure comes not to shatter us, but to sculpt us.

Only when we accept the pain of that sculpting does the true treasure of our inner self emerge.

If we cultivate the mindset of giving a little from what we have without assuming that everything we receive is solely for us and bring joy into another’s life, then life becomes truly sweet.

I share a small incident from the Mahabharata that I recently read.

Arjuna is one of the five brothers of Pandavas.

Krishna is the incarnation of lord Vishnu.

Arjuna and Krishna are best of friends.

In this background continue reading the following .

As Arjuna and Krishna were walking through a street, an old man approached them asking for charity.

Arjuna gave him a thousand gold coins. The old man was delighted.

“Ah! This will sustain our family for five or six years!” he thought, and set off for home.

A thief who noticed this snatched the gold coins from him.

A few days later, when Arjuna passed that way again, the old man narrated what had happened.
Arjuna then gave him a precious navaratna gem and asked him to keep it safe.

The old man carefully took it home and hid it in a pot in the cupboard, without telling even his wife or children.

Unaware of this, his wife took the same pot to the river to fetch water.

While washing the pot, the gem fell into the river.

When she returned home with the pot, the old man saw it and was shocked.
“Where is the gem?” he asked.

Not knowing anything, she panicked and searched the river for hours, but in vain.

A few days later, Krishna and Arjuna met the old man again, and he told them what had happened.

Arjuna said to Krishna, “He is truly unlucky.”

Krishna agreed and said, “This time, give him just two coins.”

Arjuna gave the two coins and they followed the old man to see what would happen.

On the way, a fisherman approached the old man and asked him to buy two live fish.

The old man thought, “These two coins won’t feed my family anyway. Let me at least do a good deed.”
So he bought the fish and released one into the river.

When he opened the mouth of the second fish, he saw something stuck inside.

To his astonishment, it was the same precious gem his wife had lost in the river.

Overjoyed, he shouted, “I found it!”

At that very moment, the thief who had robbed him earlier happened to pass by. Hearing the shout, he panicked, thinking the old man was referring to him, and tried to flee. Krishna and Arjuna caught him.

He was imprisoned, and all the stolen goods from his house were recovered and returned to the old man.

Arjuna asked Krishna, “Life is full of strange happenings, but how are such events even possible?”

Krishna smiled and said:

“When you first gave him wealth, he wanted to keep it only for himself and his family.
When you gave him the precious gem, he hid it away, neither using it himself nor letting it benefit anyone else.
So neither remained with him.

But this time, though he had very little, he thought, ‘Even if it doesn’t help me, let at least another living being survive.’
Because of that merit, he gained far more than what he had lost.

Lakshmi’s grace comes only to those who think of the welfare of others.”

My dear ones, do not assume that I know everything simply because I share the thoughts that arise in my heart.

I am merely inviting you to accompany me as companions in my journey of refining my inner self.

If even a few drops from this journey are useful to you, that alone is my success.

My beloved young generation!

You, the cherished children of Mother Tamil, are the pillars who will uphold our society.

I have faith that you can accomplish it.

With love,
Sakthi Sakthithasan

The Quiet Victory of Human Life

The Unyielding Mind — The Quiet Victory of Human Life

Human life is never a straight path.

Some days bring us joy; some days test us.
In certain moments, our efforts bloom.
In other moments, they get buried in the soil.

Yet, amidst all these changes, there is one force that keeps pushing us forward — the unyielding mind.

The simple line, “Whatever you face today, don’t give up,” carries within it one of the greatest philosophies of human life.

Challenges are inevitable in everyone’s journey.
They do not come to weaken us.
They come to shape us.

Failure is not the end.
It is only a pause.
The line “Don’t think you have lost” awakens the confidence hidden deep within us.

In truth, failure is not a wall that stops us.
It is a step that lifts us higher.
Every obstacle makes us stronger than before.

No matter how hard we try, life does not always move according to our expectations.
But the truth that “You are doing the best you can” teaches us to be honest with ourselves.

Human beings are imperfect.
But their effort can be complete.

The value of our effort lies not in the outcome,
but in its sincerity and its continuity.
Every small step we take brings us closer to our goal.

The line “Giving up is not your nature” reveals the fundamental nature of human beings.

From birth, humans learn to survive by fighting.
A child falls countless times while learning to walk,
yet never gives up.

That same mindset lives within us even as adults.
But when life’s burdens grow heavier, we forget that nature.
This reminder rekindles the inner strength within us.

Sometimes, pausing to breathe is not wrong.
It is not weakness.
It is wisdom.

The lines “You may pause, change direction, or search for solutions” remind us that life is not a race.
Resting does not stop our journey.
It gathers the strength needed to continue it.

Changing direction is not failure.
It is the courage to seek new possibilities.
Searching for solutions reflects the clarity of our mind.

Above all, the line “Always keep moving forward” expresses the central truth of human life.

It is the forward‑moving mindset that helps us grow.
No matter how many times life pushes us down,
each time we rise, a new person is born within us.

Every step forward brings us closer to our dreams.

In the end, this message tells us one truth —
Life may test us, but it will not break us.

As long as our mind refuses to give up,
no obstacle can stop us.
Our journey may be slow,
but as long as it moves forward, it is victory.

True human success does not lie in how many times we have won,
but in how many times we have risen without giving up.

Christmas 2025

Christmas 2025

The Day the Inner Light of Humanity Was Born

A Spiritual Journey Shared by All Religions

Christmas is not merely a day that commemorates a historical event of one religion.

It is a sacred day that celebrates an inner spiritual truth shared by all of humanity.

The infant Jesus Christ, born in the womb of Mother Mary, is not only the leader of a particular faith.

He stands as a universal symbol of love, compassion, sacrifice, equality, and peace.

Whichever religion we look at—Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Sikhism, Jainism, Judaism, Christianity
all proclaim one common truth:

“When darkness departs, light is born;
when love arises, the true human being is born.”

Christmas is the festival of that very light.

Jesus Christ appeared as the light born in Mary’s womb,
and as the light that must be born within every human heart.

Mary is not merely a mother
she is the embodiment of purity, patience, and unwavering faith.

Jesus was born in a simple manger.
That simplicity teaches us a profound truth:

Light is not born in palaces

Truth does not arise from power

Divinity blossoms only in simplicity

This is the spiritual lesson echoed by all religions.

In Hindu tradition, Krishna was born in a humble dwelling.

Buddha left his palace and found truth in simplicity.

In Islam, Prophet Muhammad lived and taught simplicity, compassion, and equality.

Likewise, Jesus’ birth in simplicity
symbolizes the moment when light is born within the human soul.

The Message of the Angels Peace on Earth

On the night Jesus was born, the angels proclaimed:

“Let there be peace on earth; let goodwill come to humankind.”

This message is not exclusive to Christianity.

It is a universal law written in the heart of humanity.

Hindu Vedas: “May all beings live in happiness.”

Buddha: “May all living beings attain peace.”

Islam: The greeting “Salaam” itself means peace.

Sikhism: “Sarbat da Bhalla” welfare for all.

Jainism: “Ahimsa Paramo Dharma” —
non‑violence is the highest virtue.

Christmas reminds us again of this universal truth.
Peace is the natural state of the human soul.

The Birth of Jesus: A Revolution of Love

The birth of Jesus is not just a historical event.
It is a revolution of love.

He taught:

“Love your neighbour as yourself.”

“Pray even for those who persecute you.”

“Hate the sin, not the sinner.”

These are the highest spiritual principles found in every religion.

Love is the heart of all faiths.

Compassion is the language of all faiths.

Forgiveness is the breath of all faiths.

Christmas reminds us of these three eternal truths.

The Christmas Tree, Star, and Candle Spiritual Symbols

The Christmas Tree
The tree of virtues every human must cultivate

The Star
The light of wisdom that guides us through darkness

The Candle
The sacrifice that melts itself to give light to others

These symbols transcend religious boundaries
and point to the inner spiritual journey of humankind.

Christmas A Day to Live for Others

Many think Christmas is a day of giving gifts.
But in truth, it is a day of:

Sacrificing one’s ego

Sharing the sorrows of others

Putting love into action

Lighting the lamp of compassion within

A smile,
a word of gratitude,
an act of forgiveness,
a gesture of kindness—
these are the true gifts of Christmas.

The Universal Message of Christmas

Christmas teaches us:

Divinity can be born in any human being

Light always triumphs over darkness

Love dissolves hatred

Compassion elevates humanity

Peace is the fundamental need of the world

This message does not belong to any one religion.
It is the spiritual heritage of humankind.

Christmas Is the Birth of Jesus Within Us

Jesus was born 2000 years ago.
But do you know when the real Christmas happens?

When love is born in our hearts

When compassion arises in our minds

When peace flows through our actions

That is the day Jesus is born in our lives.
That is the true Christmas.

My sacred and loving Christmas wishes to all.

With love,
Sakthi Sakthithasan

The Call of Peace

The Call of Peace

Today, the universe is telling us,
“Let us pause for a moment and breathe deeply.

When we allow ourselves to slow down,
peace begins to grow within us.

We don’t have to rush,
we don’t have to prove anything.

Who we are right now is enough.
This moment holds a beauty far greater
than we realize.”

This single message reminds us of one of the greatest truths of our time.

People keep running, yet no one truly knows where they are going.

Everyday life has turned into a race.

The rush that begins the moment we wake up
continues until we fall asleep at night.

Work, responsibilities, family, social expectations —
all of these chase us without giving us even a moment
to pause and breathe.

But in truth, life does not ask us to run.
It asks us to have the ability to stop and look.

When we were children, the world moved slowly.

We stopped to watch a butterfly.
We listened to the sound of falling rain.
We smiled at the shadow of a passing breeze.

But as adults, these slow, gentle moments
have disappeared from our lives.

Why?

Because we were made to believe
that “living fast is success.”

But in reality, living slowly
is living deeply.

Only when we walk slowly
does our mind speak to us.

Only when we walk slowly
can we hear what our body truly wants.

Only when we walk slowly
do our relationships come alive.

A mother who wakes up at 6 a.m.
and rushes to get her children ready for school
is always running.

But one day, if she pauses for a moment
and looks at her child’s face —
the softness of sleep still lingering,
the trust shining in those eyes,
the warmth of that tiny hand in hers —
she will realize,
“This moment is life.”

A construction worker returns home exhausted
after a long day of labour.

But the child running to greet him at the door,
the simple smile his wife gives him —
these remind him,
“I am enough.”

Exams, marks, comparisons —
these fill a student’s mind.

But if he pauses for a moment and breathes,
he will realize,
“I am not a number; I am a human being.”

Peace is not something found outside.
It is something that must grow within us.

And when does it grow?

When we give ourselves permission.

Permission to walk slowly.
Permission to make mistakes.
Permission to rest.
Permission to stop proving ourselves.

These permissions are what make us human.

We are always running toward the future.

“If I achieve a little more, I’ll be happy.”
“If I earn a little more, I’ll be peaceful.”
“If I rise a little higher, I’ll be worthy.”

But in truth,
who we are right now is enough.

Because:

We have breath.
Our body still carries us.
Our mind still dreams.
Life is still calling us.

This moment
holds a beauty far greater
than we can perceive.

Let us sit quietly for five minutes each day and breathe.

Let us give a genuine smile
to the people we love.

Let us listen to our body.
Let us allow our mind to rest.
Let us stop criticizing ourselves.

These are small actions —
but they are seeds that can transform our lives.

The message the universe gives us
is not just a spiritual line.

It is a forgotten truth
of our everyday life.

When we walk slowly,
life opens itself to us.

When we give ourselves permission,
peace blossoms within us.

When we accept who we are right now,
life becomes beautiful.

This moment
is the greatest gift in our hands.

Life is A Riddle That Sprouts Anew Each Time You Unravel It

Life is A Riddle That Sprouts Anew Each Time You Unravel It

Life is not a straight‑line journey.

It is a winding path, a complex map, an endless riddle.

Just when we think we have solved one question, another quietly waits behind it.

The lines “Life is like a riddle;
As we keep unravelling the answers,
New questions continue to sprout again and again” express one of the deepest truths of human experience in the simplest way.

From the moment a human being is born, he is placed on a path of discovery.

First he must learn to walk, then to speak, then to understand the world. At every stage, a question arises “How does this work?”, “Why do people behave like this?”, “What should I do?”

When we find an answer to one question, it pushes us toward the next. It is an endless chain.

For example, when a young person finishes their studies, the question arises “What job should I take now?”

Once they get a job, another question appears: “Is this the right one for me?”

When they marry, the question becomes: “How do we build a good life together?”

When a child is born, a new question emerges: “How do I ensure a good future for them?”

Thus, throughout life, a continuous stream of questions guides us forward.

Questions Sprouting Is Not Failure It Is Growth

Many people think having too many questions in life is a burden.

But in truth, the sprouting of questions is a sign that we are growing. Just as a tree grows new branches, a human being grows new questions.

The moment we think we have found an answer, life invites us to the next level.

That invitation is the new question.

It makes us think, change, and move forward.

A life without questions is like stagnant water — there is no growth, no movement.

The Journey of Unravelling Is Life Itself

Finding an answer is not an ending.

It is a journey. When you untie one knot, another knot lies beneath it. Every answer in life opens the door to another complexity.

And that is what makes life interesting.

When an artist completes a work, the idea for the next one sprouts.

When a poet finishes a poem, the next line begins to form in the mind.

When a scientist completes a discovery, another mystery waits behind it.

The human mind is like this — it never stops; it keeps searching.

Life Is a Riddle But Not a Frightening One

When people hear the word “riddle,” they think of confusion, difficulty, or fear.

But the riddle of life is not like that.

It is a beautiful game that makes us think, look deeper, and return to ourselves.

Just like the “Aha!” moment when a riddle is solved, every small understanding in life brings joy.

Sometimes we may not find the answer.

Sometimes we may choose the wrong answer.

But that too is part of the journey.

Without mistakes, knowledge cannot be born.

The Continuity of Questions Is What Makes Us Human

A stone does not ask questions.

A tree does not ask questions.

But a human being does.

That is what makes him human.

Questions keep us awake.

They make us think.

They make us feel.

When we ask, “Who am I?”, “What is the purpose of my life?”, “What am I creating and leaving behind?”, we begin to discover ourselves.

This search is endless — and that is the beauty of life.

Endless Questions Become Endless Possibilities

The true meaning of a life filled with questions is that life is filled with possibilities.

Every question opens a new path.

Every doubt creates a new thought.

Every difficulty develops a new skill.

If we learn not to fear questions but to welcome them, life stops feeling like a burden and becomes an exciting journey.

The lines “Life is like a riddle; as we keep unravelling the answers, new questions continue to sprout” express this profound truth with great simplicity.

Life is an endless search.

But that search is what keeps us alive.

Questions push us forward.

Answers transform us.

The search makes us human.

If life is a riddle, there is no need to solve it completely we must experience it.

We must see every question as a new opportunity.

We must see every answer as a new beginning.

If we do that, life will not feel complicated it will become a beautiful journey.

Beautiful morning hours,

In the beautiful morning hours,

just as a few dark clouds can hide the bright sun,
our ego too can conceal the true state of our mind.

The greatest battle in a human life does not happen outside.
It is the struggle to calm the waves that rise within.

The direction in which our thoughts flow
is the very direction in which our life moves.

That is why keeping the mind clear
is the foundation of true bliss.

If we imagine the mind as a pond,
then when we allow the fish of good thoughts to swim freely,
they cleanse the pond of the algae of negative thoughts.

When I believed that everything happening around me
was happening solely because of me,
many inexplicable events seemed to unfold in my life.

But as I slowly began to remove the thought of “I,”
I found myself gaining the clarity and acceptance
to understand many of those happenings.

Every experience that life gives us is a lesson.

Some lessons make us stand tall.

Some lessons make us soften and bend.

But together, they shape us into complete human beings.

When we stop resisting and begin to accept,
life ceases to feel like a burden
and becomes a journey.

Arrogance and self-confidence are two different qualities.

Trying to link them together only creates discomfort.

Humility when we rise,
and confidence when we fall
these lead us toward success in life.

In today’s world,
the tight, relentless cycle of daily life
and the contradictory news that reaches our ears
can disturb us, confuse our minds,
and cause moments of imbalance.

Many events around us may even make us feel
that our disciplined, straightforward way of living
is pointless.

But in truth,
the value of our way of life
is not measured by external events.

The peace within us
is what determines the direction of our journey.

No matter how fierce a storm may be,
there is calm at its center.

Likewise, if we cultivate calmness
at the center of our being,
no situation can shake us.

This is where our mental strength
and our noble thoughts about life
are pushed to their limits and tested.

If we do not lose our resolve at such times,
we will surely reach a state
where we can experience the benefits
through our own lived understanding.

I have felt this many times.

My journey of experience
is still unfolding.

I am still only a student
in the school of life.

No matter how many years we live,
the lessons life teaches us never end.
Each day is a new chapter,
each experience a new teacher.

There is no need to “graduate” from this school
a willingness to learn is enough.

My beloved younger generation!

Hold on to the foundation called hope.

You will never be abandoned.

You are capable.

With love,
Sakthi Sakthithasan

The Colors of Life

The Colors of Life

Human Relationships and the Stepping Stones to Progress

If life is a beautiful painting, then the people we meet are the colors that bring that painting to life.

Each day, we cross paths with many kinds of people.

Some stand by us, some guide us, and some give us the bitter taste of disappointment.

These contrasting experiences are what make life interesting.

How do we absorb the impact of these three types of people and transform them into stepping stones toward our success?

“Someone Helps Us”

When we struggle in a difficult situation, an unexpected helping hand feels like a divine intervention.

Help is not merely material.

A comforting word or a small gesture of support during a tough moment can restore a person’s confidence.

It creates within us a sense of safety — “I am not alone.”

The help we receive should plant the seed of gratitude in us.

Having received help, we must cultivate the mindset to help those who deserve it in the future.

Rising from the state of “one who received help” to “one who helps” is the first step toward progress.

“Someone Guides Us”

Just as a candle is a blessing to someone walking in darkness, the right guidance is a blessing to someone lost in confusion.

The advice of experienced people saves us time and effort.

They point out the mistakes we are about to make and show us not shortcuts to success, but the right path.

Accepting guidance with humility is essential for growth.

Only a good student can one day become a great leader.

When we treat guidance not as mere advice but as a tool for action, it moves us to the next stage.

“Someone Deceives Us”

This is the darker side of life.

When someone we deeply trust — or someone unexpected — betrays us, the heart breaks.

But in truth, this is life’s greatest lesson.

Though deception causes temporary pain, it helps us tear away the masks around us.

It heightens our awareness.

We must see deception not as a dead end but as a warning bell.

We learn whom to trust and where to draw boundaries.

A wounded heart gradually becomes as strong as a diamond.

Those who have the strength to face betrayal are the ones who achieve the greatest things in the world.

The determination — “I will rise and live well in front of those who deceived me” — becomes fuel for progress.

A Continuous Cycle

These three states keep appearing in our lives in cycles.

When we help, we learn humanity.
When we guide, we learn responsibility.
When we are deceived, we learn patience.

Why Is Life So Interesting?

A journey on a straight, uniform path becomes boring.

Only a road filled with ups and downs reveals the skill of the driver.

Likewise, these three types of people are the sculptors who shape our character.

Thinking of revenge against those who deceived us only wastes our time.

Moving past them is the real victory.

Every Human Is a Book

From those who help, learn love.
From those who guide, learn wisdom.
From those who deceive, learn discernment.

Reflecting each day —
Did I help someone today?
Did I receive guidance from someone?
Or at the very least, did I avoid deceiving anyone?

makes us better human beings.

The thought “How fascinating this life is!” shows our maturity in seeing all sides of life equally.

Help sustains us.
Guidance shapes us.
Deception strengthens us.

Failures and betrayals do not come to destroy us.

They come to lift us higher.

Every person we meet in this world arrives to teach us a lesson.

If we learn those lessons well and turn our experiences into weapons, life becomes not just a challenging game but a profoundly beautiful journey.

The Quiet Revolution

The Quiet Revolution

How Breath‑Based Meditation Is Transforming Modern Life

Today is world meditation day.

World Meditation Day arrives  as a quiet reminder that peace is not something we chase it is something we cultivate.

In a world that moves at a relentless pace, where our attention is constantly pulled outward, meditation offers a rare invitation to turn inward.

Among the many forms of meditation, one stands out for its simplicity,

Accessibility, and profound impact: the practice of observing the breath.

This was the recommended method of Gowthama Budha which finally gave him his enlightment.

Breath‑based meditation is as old as human consciousness itself.

Yet, despite its ancient roots, it remains one of the most relevant tools for navigating the pressures of modern living.

The technique is deceptively simple sit comfortably, allow the body to settle, and gently observe the natural rhythm of your breath.

No force, no control, no expectation just awareness.

This simple act begins to unravel layers of tension we didn’t even know we were carrying.

The breath becomes an anchor, a stabilizing force that brings the mind back from its habitual spirals of worry, planning, and overthinking. In observing the breath, we observe ourselves.

We learn to witness thoughts without being swept away by them.

We learn to rest in the present moment, where life actually happens.

Yet, despite its power, meditation is often misunderstood.

Many still see it as something reserved for the older generation an activity for those who have “time,” or for people who have stepped back from the demands of career, family, and ambition.

But this perception couldn’t be further from the truth.

If anything, meditation is the ideal medicine for the younger generation, the working generation, and anyone living in the high‑pressure landscape of the 21st century.

Today’s world demands constant productivity.

Notifications, deadlines, social expectations, and the invisible pressure to “keep up” create a mental load that previous generations never had to carry.

Stress has become normalized. Anxiety is widespread.

Sleep is compromised.

And in the midst of all this, the mind rarely gets a moment of true rest.

This is where meditation becomes not just helpful, but essential.

A daily 20‑minute breath‑based meditation practice can work wonders for mental health.

Scientific studies consistently show that such a practice reduces stress hormones, improves emotional regulation, enhances focus, and strengthens resilience.

But beyond the science, there is a deeper transformation that unfolds quietly, day by day.

Meditation teaches us to pause.

To breathe.

To respond instead of react.

It creates a small but powerful space between stimulus and response a space where clarity lives.

Over time, this space becomes a sanctuary we carry within us, accessible at any moment.

For young professionals, meditation sharpens concentration and reduces burnout.

For parents, it brings patience and emotional steadiness.

For students, it enhances memory and learning.

For elders, it deepens peace and acceptance.

Meditation does not belong to any age group.

it belongs to anyone who has a mind.

Observing the breath is the simplest doorway into this inner freedom.

The breath is always with us, always available, always honest.

It reflects our state of mind and gently guides us back to balance.

In watching the breath, we rediscover our own presence calm, grounded, and unshakeable.

On this World Meditation Day, the invitation is simple, sit for twenty minutes.

Close your eyes. Feel the breath. Let the world slow down. Let your mind soften. Let your inner space expand.

Meditation is not an escape from life. It is a return to life.

And in a world that constantly pulls us outward, returning inward may be the most revolutionary act of all.

in the journey of life, how many times have we tried to prove ourselves?

In the journey of life, how many times have we tried to prove ourselves?

There are moments when questions like “Who am I?”, “What is my worth?”, “How do others see me?” push us inward.

In search of answers to these questions, we begin to do things we never needed to do.
And as a result, the mind grows weary.

But one day, when we sit quietly and question ourselves, the truth reveals itself.

We are not meant to live to impress others.
We are meant to live to understand ourselves.

Our talent does not need a certificate.
It shines naturally through our actions, our inner peace, and our progress.

Dear young generation!

Life will pull you in many directions.
Some will lift you up, some will push you down.
Some will celebrate your dreams, some will mock them.

But through all of this, you must learn one thing:
Your worth must be defined by you — not by others.

Knowledge is not what you read in books.
Knowledge is knowing when to speak and when to remain silent.

Walking away from conflict is not weakness.
It is maturity.
It is the strength that protects your inner peace.

Sometimes, your presence may become a burden to others.
Recognizing that and stepping away with grace is an art.
It elevates you.
It makes you a gentler, wiser human being.

Life is never a straight path.
It has curves and twists.
Some relationships approach like mirages in the desert.
Some friendships pierce the heart like woodpeckers.

Yet all these experiences make you stronger.

There will be moments when you feel there are no good-hearted people in this world.
But in the same world, there will also be souls who trust you, love you, and want to uplift you.
They are the light of your journey.

For them — and for yourself — try to be the foundation of the belief that this world is still beautiful.

Our mind is a vessel.
What we fill it with determines the quality of our life.

If we carry yesterday’s sweet memories, today’s calmness, and tomorrow’s hope,
life will remain beautiful no matter how challenging it becomes.

Stress does not come from events.
It comes from the way we respond to them.
You have the power to change that.
Change your mindset, and your life will change on its own.

Wisdom is not saying, “I know everything.”
Wisdom is realizing, “There is still so much more to learn.”
That realization keeps you on the path of growth.

Young friends!

Time is the greatest wealth in life.
You cannot buy it, store it, or retrieve it once lost.
But you can use it.

If you make the right decisions at the right time,
your future will shine.
Your dreams will come true.

Believe in yourself.
Believe in your effort.
Believe in your journey.

You will succeed.
I believe in you.
You are capable.

From Seed to Leaf The Hidden Secret of Life

From Seed to Leaf The Hidden Secret of Life

A Philosophical Journey Through Everyday Living

The world we live in may appear vast when we look at it from the outside.

But when we go deeper, we realize that every greatness begins from a tiny starting point.

This truth is beautifully captured in the line:
“There is nothing else; the secret of life is the leaf hidden within the seed.”

A seed is so small that it is barely visible to the eye.

Yet within it lies the complete blueprint of a tree — its branches, its leaves, its shade, its fruits, and even the lives that will flourish around it.

In the same way, our lives are shaped by small thoughts, small habits, small decisions, and small beliefs.

How does this idea reflect in our everyday life? Let us explore it gently.

Small Habits — Seeds of Great Change

The small actions we perform daily — the time we wake up, the calmness of a morning cup of tea, a smile, a word of gratitude — these are all seeds.
They do not become a giant tree overnight.

But if we water them every day, they transform our character and the quality of our life.

For example:

A 10‑minute walk every day

Reading one page of a book daily

Expressing gratitude to one person each day

These are small acts.

But within a few months, they reshape our body and mind.

Just like a seed — slowly, but surely.

A Child’s Growth — The Miracle of the Seed

A newborn child is like a seed.

Within it already lie hidden talents, emotions, imagination, curiosity — all waiting to unfold as leaves.

What should a parent do?

Not pull the seed upward to force it into a tree.

But provide the right environment — love, safety, encouragement.

That is the secret of life:
Growth does not come by force; it comes through nurturing.

Relationships — Leaves That Bloom Slowly

A friendship, a romance, a family bond — all begin like a seed.

The first meeting, the first conversation, the first trust — these are seeds.

It is our responsibility to nurture them.

What we give daily —

Attention

Time

Understanding

Patience

These are the acts of watering.

As a result, the relationship blossoms, gives shade, and becomes a place of safety.

Dreams — Seeds Within Our Hearts

Every person carries a dream-seed within.

For some it is music, for some writing, for some a profession, for some service.

The reason this seed does not sprout is often fear.

But here is a truth:

A seed sprouts only when it is buried in darkness.

Likewise, our dreams gain strength in the darkness of challenges, doubts, and failures.

If we do not abandon them and continue to nurture them, one day they become the tree of our life.

Failures — The Hardness of the Soil

A seed cannot emerge without breaking through the soil.

Similarly, failures, obstacles, and criticisms in our life are not meant to break us; they are meant to reveal us.

A failure is not an ending.

It is a new direction.
A new strength.
A new leaf.

Our Mind — The Soil Where Seeds Sprout

The kind of soil a seed falls into determines its growth.

Likewise, our state of mind determines our life.

What we hold in our mind —
faith, integrity, gratitude, confidence —
these are fertile soil.

Any seed that falls into it will grow.

But fear, anger, jealousy, constant complaining —
these are weeds.

They hinder the growth of the seed.

The Secret of Life Lies Within Us

A seed does not always come from outside.

It is created within us.

Our thoughts, our emotions, our actions — these are the seeds of our life.

So life is not a great mystery.

It is a simple truth:

If we nurture the goodness within us like a small seed, life will naturally unfold into leaves.

Life is not a miracle.

It is a natural process.

A journey that grows quietly, slowly, but surely — like a seed becoming a tree.

Sakthi Sakthithasan

When mind speaks.......

There will always be a thousand people behind our backs speaking about us.

Worrying about them is foolishness, because they waste the time needed to correct their own flaws by searching for ours.

A person’s greatness does not lie in how high he stands.

It lies in how many people he lifts up and helps to stand tall.

Guiding and uplifting those who trust us on our journey that is the true success of life.

A happy life does not mean we possess everything.

It means we have learned to look beyond what we lack and live contentedly with what we have.

Every small step of progress we make becomes a seed that nurtures the peace within us.

If we water that seed with love, patience, and faith, it will one day grow into a great tree that shelters and protects our life.

All of us are destined to leave this world one day.

Our goal should not be to live forever;
our goal should be to live in such a way that our memories continue to live even after we are gone.

If the path to success is the ideal we choose, then the vehicle that carries us on that path is perseverance.

The trials life gives us are not punishments.

They are opportunities that help us discover our true strength.

Every obstacle becomes a stepping stone that makes us stronger and more resilient.

Sweetness is found only in a simple life.
It takes great courage to live simply, because the world we live in does not measure people by the greatness of their humanity it measures them by the possessions they hold.

Simplicity is not poverty.

True simplicity is giving up arrogance and using what we have to help another person live.

When we see something good, simplicity gives us the strength to open the door of our mind and accept it.

When we see something harmful, simplicity gives us the strength to close that door and protect ourselves.

Simplicity is the doorway to love.
Love is not claiming ownership over someone.

Offering ourselves as a gift  that is the true sign of love.

With love,
Sakthi Sakthidasan

This Is Not the End of My Story” The Inner Philosophy of Human Life

This Is Not the End of My Story” — The Inner Philosophy of Human Life

Human life is not a straight-line journey.

It is a path filled with rises and falls — moments that make us doubt ourselves, and moments that reveal the extraordinary strength hidden within us.

The line “At any moment, you have the power to say: this is not the end of my story” expresses, with striking clarity, the inner potential at the heart of this human journey.

This single sentence is profound enough to transform our entire philosophy of life.

Because it reminds us of two essential truths:

The circumstances we face do not define us.

The power to change any situation lies within us.

Based on this idea, we can explore a few key philosophies essential to human life.

Life is not a series of endings it is a series of beginnings

Many people see life as a collection of “what happened to me.”

But in truth, life is a continuation of “what I choose to do next.”

A failure, a loss, a mistake — none of these need to be the end of the story.
They can become the beginning of a new chapter.

When a seed is buried in the soil, it is plunged into darkness.
But that darkness is not its end; it is its birthplace.

Likewise, the dark moments in our lives are not meant to bury us — they are meant to make us sprout.

Inner strength is the center that transforms outer circumstances

At the heart of this statement lies a powerful truth:
Change does not begin outside.

It begins within.

Our willpower, our belief, our confidence, our self-awareness — these are the tools that rewrite our story.

Life may throw anything at us, but how we choose to catch it is entirely ours.

A storm can uproot one tree, yet make another tree stronger.
The storm is the same — but the inner structure of the tree determines its future.

Self-belief is the pen that rewrites the story

The power to say “This is not the end of my story” is born from self-belief.

Self-belief is not just trusting who we are today.
It is trusting that there are unwritten chapters still within us.

Failure is not the end of the story.
It is a comma.
Only if we stop does it become a full stop.

Change is a decision, not a miracle

Many people want life to change, yet they expect change to arrive on its own.

But in truth, change is a decision —
a moment of inner resolve.

“Enough. From now on, I will live differently.”
This one sentence can transform an entire life.

The small decisions we make —

changing a habit,

facing a fear,

restarting a dream —

all have the power to rewrite our story.

Hope is the inner lamp that guides us through darkness

There are moments in life when we are pushed into complete darkness.
In those moments, light does not come from outside.

It must come from within.

Hope is not about seeing the light.
It is the ability to move forward believing that light will come.

This line reminds us:
No matter how deep the darkness,
darkness does not have the authority to end our story.
The authority belongs to us.

Every human being is the author of their own story

Life may give us many characters:

Some may hurt us,
some may lift us,
some may change us.

But the one who writes the story is us.

Which chapter to extend,
which chapter to close,
which chapter to begin anew —
all of this lies in our hands.

We are not the readers of our story;
we are the authors.

“This is not the end of my story” is not just a philosophy it is a way of living

It tells us:

No situation is permanent.

No failure is final.

No darkness can end us.

Every human being is born with the power to change their story.

Life may give us anything,
but what we choose — that is what defines our story.

So, every day, every moment,
there is one sentence we must tell ourselves:

“This is not the end of my story.”

Sakthi Sakthithasan

What does it mean to live in harmony with society?

What does it mean to live in harmony with society?

Is it not to live in alignment with the lives of those around us?

If the people around us struggle with life’s hardships, sinking into poverty and distress, should we also choose to live the same way, making no effort to improve our own lives simply because they suffer?

On the other hand, is it right to think, “I am already in a better position than them,” and remain stagnant, refusing to progress further even when we know the path to improvement?

The great poet Kannadasan said, “Find peace by remembering the millions who are below you.”

What do those words truly mean?

Does it mean we should be content with what we have and surrender ourselves to laziness, even when there are ways to grow further?

The elevation of our life is not merely a personal achievement.

It is a beacon of hope for those who trust and depend on us.

When one person progresses, many others look to them and find their own path.

Thus, our progress becomes a ray of light for the progress of society.

Living in harmony with society does not mean lowering our standard of life to match those who struggle.

It means helping those who aspire to live better, lifting them—through whatever means we can—to a higher level.

And even if we cannot help them directly, at the very least we should not become an obstacle in their path.

Help does not always have to be material.

A kind word, a guiding thought, an encouraging compliment
even these have the power to transform a person’s life.

The human mind grows through hope.

Sowing that hope is the truest form of social service.

The impact of what we do for ourselves fades with us.

But what we do for others becomes a living truth even after we are gone.

The generosity that flows from our heart is the birthplace of noble qualities.

Virtue needs an environment to grow.

We are the ones who create that environment.

At home, at work, in society—wherever we are—our behaviour plants a seed in the minds of others.

If that seed is good, it grows into a tree that benefits many generations beyond our time.

When virtues flourish in the heart, they lead to harmony in family life.

They help sustain joy between husband and wife, parents and children, brothers and sisters.

When family life is loving and harmonious, clarity arises within.

That inner clarity teaches us to respect the laws of the land we live in.

Only those who respect the laws of their nation can help create love and peace in the world.

A person becomes a good citizen only through the discipline of their inner self.

Law is not something to be followed out of fear.

It is something to be honoured through our sense of justice.

When that sense awakens, both society and the nation rise.

Let us all sow expansive feelings in our hearts and live as useful human beings.

Great opportunities need not be awaited.

A person’s true greatness lies in transforming ordinary opportunities into extraordinary achievements.

Hold on tightly to your dreams.

A life without dreams is like a bird without wings.

When we feel content with what we have, the true measure of that contentment is our willingness to help others rise higher.

Let us live—and by elevating our own lives, let us extend a hand to lift others as well.

I have immense hope that this spirit will remain deeply rooted in the hearts of my beloved younger generation.

You can do it.

With love,
Sakthi Sakthithasan

Where It Reaches Determines Whether Water Clears or Turns Muddy…”

Where It Reaches Determines Whether Water Clears or Turns Muddy…”

Human life is like a flowing stream.

Its shape, colour, and usefulness are determined by where it flows, what it touches, and the terrain it crosses.

When water touches a rock, its form changes.

when it touches sand, it scatters;
when it touches fertile soil, it creates greenery.

Likewise, the environment we encounter, the people we meet, the experiences we undergo, and the opportunities that come our way all of these shape the course of our lives.

This profound truth is expressed with striking simplicity in the line:

“Where it reaches determines
whether water clears or turns muddy…”

This is not merely a poetic line.

It is a life principle.
A warning.
A guide.
A philosophy.

Let us explore how this philosophy applies to the many stages of life.

1. Environment Shapes the Individual

A seed that falls on fertile soil grows into a tree.

a seed that falls on a rock dries up.

Similarly, a person’s talent, effort, and dreams are deeply influenced by the quality of the environment they live in.

Where good friends exist, a person rises.

In encouraging surroundings, abilities blossom.

In toxic environments, confidence crumbles.

Water becomes clear when it joins a pure stream it stinks when it enters a garbage pit.

Human beings are no different.

The environment we place ourselves in determines our future.

2. People Alter the Flow of Our Lives

The people we meet create ripples in the waters of our mind.

Some calm us.
Some help us grow.
Some break us.
Some push us to heights we never imagined.

Meeting a good person is like reaching a clear, serene pond.

Meeting the wrong person is like falling into a muddy swamp.

The people we allow into our lives determine our peace of mind and our progress.

3. Experiences Are the Tools That Shape Us

Just as water carves its path by striking against rocks, experiences shape our character by striking against our inner self.

Failure teaches humility.
Success builds confidence.
Loss strengthens us.
Love makes us human.

Whether experiences are good or bad is not what matters.

What matters is how we digest them.

Like water that flows around a rock instead of breaking it,
we must learn to move past life’s obstacles without breaking ourselves.

4. Mindset: The Sky That Colours the Water

Water changes colour depending on the sky above it.

Likewise, a person interprets life based on their state of mind.

When the mind is calm, the world appears beautiful.

When the mind is disturbed, even small things feel burdensome.

When the mind is healthy, problems turn into opportunities.

Life itself is not the issue how we perceive it is what truly matters.

5. Opportunities: The Vastness of the Sea That Awaits

If water keeps flowing, it eventually reaches the sea.

Similarly, if a person keeps trying, they reach their goal.

Sometimes the path is dry.
Sometimes obstacles appear.
Sometimes the flow slows down.

But only the water that never stops reaches the ocean.

No matter how late it seems,
as long as we keep moving, we will reach our sea.

6. Our Choices: The Direction of Our Life’s Stream

Water cannot choose the direction it flows.

But humans can.

Where to stand,
where to step away,
whom to trust,
which dream to pursue —
these choices lie in our hands.

Every choice we make alters the course of our life.

Our Life Is a Reflection of Where We Join

Just as water changes its nature depending on where it joins,
a person’s life is shaped by the environments, people, experiences, and thoughts they join with.

Therefore,

Choose good environments.
Seek good people.
Cultivate good thoughts.
Create meaningful experiences.
Choose the right path.

Then life will not become a muddy pond,
but a clear, flowing stream.

Because what matters is not how life is
but where we choose to be.

The Mind: The Birthplace of Sorrow

The Mind: The Birthplace of Sorrow

Liberation and Awareness in the Present Moment

Our human journey constantly swings between the two poles of pleasure and pain.

But when we reflect deeply, we realize that most of the suffering we experience does not arise from the external world.

Instead, it is a reflection of the stream of thoughts that arise within the depths of our own mind.

When we truly understand the great truth that “most of our suffering happens within our own mind,” a new vision of life opens before us.

Our mind is a strange instrument.

It wanders endlessly either through the bitter memories of the past or through unnecessary anxieties about the future.

Regretting past mistakes and fearing imagined future events have become the natural tendencies of the mind.

Most of the problems we face do not exist in reality.

For example, before attending a job interview, the anxiety of “What if I don’t get the job?” is fear about something that hasn’t even happened.

Here, the suffering does not lie in the situation itself, but in the imagination our mind creates about it.

This is what the saying “We suffer more in our mind than in reality” points to.

The Power of the Present Moment

The simplest way to free ourselves from suffering is to return to the present moment.

Our mind usually jumps around like a restless monkey.

Calming it and anchoring it in the “now” is the true path to peace.

Whenever we drown in worry, we should pause for a moment and ask ourselves:

“Right now, in this very moment, what is lacking?”

This question works like a powerful mantra.

In that single moment, our body may be healthy, we may have air to breathe, and a place to rest.

Yet the mind drags unnecessary future problems into the present and torments us.

When we realize the truth that “Right now, everything is okay,” the weight on the mind suddenly lightens.

Imagined Suffering vs. Reality

As the ancient philosopher Seneca said,
“We suffer more in imagination than in reality.”

A painful event in life hurts far less than the wound created by repeatedly replaying it in our mind.

The past is a story that has already ended.
We cannot change it.

The future is something that has not yet been born.
We cannot control it.

The present moment is the only treasure truly in our hands.

When we learn to live in the present, our energy is no longer wasted.

When we perform a task by fully experiencing the moment rather than worrying about the outcome, suffering dissolves.

To free ourselves from mental suffering, awareness is essential.

We must become a witness to our thoughts.

Whenever a thought arises that causes distress, we must immediately recognize:

“This is just a thought — not the truth.”

We must become masters of our mind, not its slaves.

We must understand that “the mind is a wonderful servant but a terrible master.”

When we anchor ourselves in the present moment, the storms of the external world cannot shake us.

In Essence

Peace is not a distant land.

It is hidden within us, in this very moment.

The feeling that “everything is okay” does not come from external circumstances, but from the maturity of our mind.

When we let go of unnecessary imagined fears and begin to appreciate the beauty of the present, life stops feeling like a burden and begins to feel like a celebration.

True freedom begins when we rise above the mind and start loving reality as it is.

With this awareness, suffering fades and joy takes its place.
