The Call of Peace

The Call of Peace

Today, the universe is telling us,
“Let us pause for a moment and breathe deeply.

When we allow ourselves to slow down,
peace begins to grow within us.

We don’t have to rush,
we don’t have to prove anything.

Who we are right now is enough.
This moment holds a beauty far greater
than we realize.”

This single message reminds us of one of the greatest truths of our time.

People keep running, yet no one truly knows where they are going.

Everyday life has turned into a race.

The rush that begins the moment we wake up
continues until we fall asleep at night.

Work, responsibilities, family, social expectations —
all of these chase us without giving us even a moment
to pause and breathe.

But in truth, life does not ask us to run.
It asks us to have the ability to stop and look.

When we were children, the world moved slowly.

We stopped to watch a butterfly.
We listened to the sound of falling rain.
We smiled at the shadow of a passing breeze.

But as adults, these slow, gentle moments
have disappeared from our lives.

Why?

Because we were made to believe
that “living fast is success.”

But in reality, living slowly
is living deeply.

Only when we walk slowly
does our mind speak to us.

Only when we walk slowly
can we hear what our body truly wants.

Only when we walk slowly
do our relationships come alive.

A mother who wakes up at 6 a.m.
and rushes to get her children ready for school
is always running.

But one day, if she pauses for a moment
and looks at her child’s face —
the softness of sleep still lingering,
the trust shining in those eyes,
the warmth of that tiny hand in hers —
she will realize,
“This moment is life.”

A construction worker returns home exhausted
after a long day of labour.

But the child running to greet him at the door,
the simple smile his wife gives him —
these remind him,
“I am enough.”

Exams, marks, comparisons —
these fill a student’s mind.

But if he pauses for a moment and breathes,
he will realize,
“I am not a number; I am a human being.”

Peace is not something found outside.
It is something that must grow within us.

And when does it grow?

When we give ourselves permission.

Permission to walk slowly.
Permission to make mistakes.
Permission to rest.
Permission to stop proving ourselves.

These permissions are what make us human.

We are always running toward the future.

“If I achieve a little more, I’ll be happy.”
“If I earn a little more, I’ll be peaceful.”
“If I rise a little higher, I’ll be worthy.”

But in truth,
who we are right now is enough.

Because:

We have breath.
Our body still carries us.
Our mind still dreams.
Life is still calling us.

This moment
holds a beauty far greater
than we can perceive.

Let us sit quietly for five minutes each day and breathe.

Let us give a genuine smile
to the people we love.

Let us listen to our body.
Let us allow our mind to rest.
Let us stop criticizing ourselves.

These are small actions —
but they are seeds that can transform our lives.

The message the universe gives us
is not just a spiritual line.

It is a forgotten truth
of our everyday life.

When we walk slowly,
life opens itself to us.

When we give ourselves permission,
peace blossoms within us.

When we accept who we are right now,
life becomes beautiful.

This moment
is the greatest gift in our hands.

With love,
Sakthi Sakthithasan
