The world is what lies within the heart

The world is what lies within the heart,
Once I realized that, all sorrow faded away, ” said poet laureate Kannadasan.

The phrase “the world is what lies within the heart” can easily be misunderstood.

Kannadasan always encouraged individuals to strive for self-improvement.

There are times when, no matter how hard one works, it’s impossible to rise beyond a certain point.

When that happens, it’s natural to feel disheartened.

In such moments, we must learn to find solace in what we already possess  that is the true essence of his words.

Desires of the heart are boundless.

The mind constantly cries out, “I need, I need.”

But what we truly need is the ability to discern between what is essential and what is extravagant.

When the boundary between necessity and luxury is blurred, that’s when unrest begins.

Having lived through such mental states, I now share my experiences with the younger generation not as a scholar or philosopher,

But as someone who has stepped into places he shouldn’t have,
As someone who believed that all that glitters is gold, and was deceived by many.

I turn the pain etched in my heart into words and share them.

If even one or two among my dear young generation benefit from this,
That alone would be the success of my writing , and it is with that hope that I continue to write.

Peace of mind is the greatest medicine we all seek.

It is hidden within the virtue of contentment  the ability to say “this is enough.”

Through honest, sincere effort, we must elevate ourselves.

And through that elevation, strive to uplift others.

That is the true ideal of every human being.

Only then can we build a society rooted in humanity beyond divisions of race, religion, or language.

Such societies have the power to transform the future into a peaceful world.

Life is always like a boat.

The waves it encounters may sometimes threaten us, sometimes carry us forward.

It is the strength of mind to face those waves that brings us safely to shore.

To see every hardship as an opportunity to be tested .

That mindset is what steadies us on the path to success.

The energy of youth is a wondrous force.

When not wasted, and each day is spent in meaningful action,  that energy becomes a light for society.

Your thoughts, your efforts, your dreams.

All of these become guiding lamps for the generations to come.

Always remember,
True wealth is not money.
It is the trust, love, and gratitude of people.

To earn that, we need three pillars integrity, hard work, and compassion.

If we build those pillars strong,
Our lives will always be meaningful,
And we will become a source of inspiration to others.

My dear young generation!

Take the future into your hands,
And carve it into a noble symbol of purpose.

You can do it.

With love,
Sakthi Sakthithasan
