Peace is the Light that Comes from Within
What is Peace?
Peace is not the absence of sound.
It is a state that arises within us.
Some people think that to be peaceful means not speaking, not meeting anyone, or withdrawing from the world.
But true peace is the condition of being free from inner disturbance.
Even if there is noise in the outside world, if a person has peace within, he can experience that situation itself peacefully.
Peace comes from within us.
If we are truly peaceful, then in any situation we can enjoy that peace.
How to Attain Peace?
1. Observe the Mind:
Our thoughts, emotions, and reactions are like waves.
When we begin to observe them, they gradually become calm.
2. Observe the Breath:
Breath is the doorway to our inner self.
When we feel, “I am breathing now”, our mind settles in the present moment.
3. Nature, Greenery, Music:
Sitting under a tree, listening to gentle music, or watching nature—all help the mind to quieten.
Why is Peace Important in Life?
Clarity in Decisions:
A mind free from confusion can make the right choices.
Strength in Relationships:
A peaceful mind understands the feelings of others. This strengthens bonds.
Physical Health:
When the mind is peaceful, the body too becomes peaceful. Sleep, digestion, and health improve.
Social Change:
Peaceful people bring good changes in society.
They avoid violence and act with understanding.
Can Circumstances Destroy Peace?
No.
When a storm occurs, its center remains calm.
Likewise, even if life has problems, noise, or arguments, our inner self can remain peaceful.
But this requires practice.
Meditation, reflection, and self-awareness lead us to that state.
Peace is the foundation of life.
It is not something to be searched for outside.
It is the light we must cultivate within ourselves.
That light guides us, protects us, and brings us joy.
“Peace does not mean not speaking or not acting.
It means the mind being free from disturbance.”
With love,
